definitely recommend Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort.

Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort is one of four connected resorts that are within walking distance of each other. The Divi Dutch Village is the quietest and most laid back. They also have in my opinion, the... best private beach. Additionally, they have three pools. My room was actually a one bedroom apartment with kitchen, living room, and dining room. They only have one place on site to get food. The Tiki Bar and Grill is open for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, you can either cook in your kitchen, go to one of the modern BBQ grills, or head out to one of the other Divi resorts for dinner. I got the Mega all-inclusive plan which allows you to eat or do activities at any of the four resorts. There is also a shuttle that goes between the four resorts. Staff members are genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful. Everything is kept very clean. I definitely recommend Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort.
We wanna go back

Nice accommodations. We thoroughly enjoyed our almost week-long stay. Most of the front desk folks spoke fluent English. There were a few challenges, but they were not insurmountable. We chose the "all inc...lusive room" option through JetBlue and would gladly go back. The trip was great and if something went amiss, the staff attended to it promptly. Mostly. American $$$ accepted without question. We stayed in a three level building, rooms on each level. No elevator. Don't be confused if you are on the first floor....that's one level above the ground floor so think "second floor." If you are stair challenged, don't be shy about asking for a change in room. You might get it, but you will need to advocate for it. It probably won't be offered without you asking. Restaurants withing the Divi complex we enjoyed were the Margot and Red Parrot. You won't be disappointed and you won't leave hungry. If you have breakfast/lunch at the Tiki bar, you will find the food excellent and the staff very accommodating. They speak English, Spanish and Papiamento (kind of a combination of Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch). They helped me with my very limited Spanish and didn't laugh too much when I chose the wrong word(s). The staff and locals offsite seemed to appreciate being greeted in Spanish or Papiamento (the Divi Dutch website offers some basic phrases: good morning, good afternoon, etc.....you may have to dig deep to find them--also check YouTube). The island is advertised as safe and we felt safe walking around downtown, with its confusing streets. If you take the bus, you will end up in the neighborhood of the transit terminal (basically a huge parking lot about a block from the lot of trinket vendors who sell the same stuff available at the resort gift shop at lower prices) This is the same neighborhood where the cruise ships dock. I believe Mondays are non-cruise days. Look for landmarks to help you get back to the bus, which runs about ever 30 minutes, maybe, kinda sorta. Think "island time" when planning for trips and be very patient with yourself. Their "island time" is better than some of the Caribbean islands. Do some research to find the best deal at the best time of the year.....I think February - May was recommended by several we spoke with. Temperature stays about the same year long. You may see things such as rain downspouts which drop water right next to the buildings instead of diverting it away.....not something we would do in the States. Remember the Wizard of Oz saying: you ain't in Kansas anymore, so be understanding. Their ways may not be your ways. Not that it's wrong....just different. You might just have to roll your eyes and smile like you do with teenagers.

Unforgettable Family Vacation Spot

We had an unforgettable stay at Divi Dutch Village Beach Resort—the perfect spot for a family getaway! The accommodations were just right for us, with full amenities that made it easy to settle in and feel... at home. We especially loved having a kitchen to make some of our own meals and the view overlooking the pool was a bonus. Our mornings always started with a delicious breakfast at Tiki Café—definitely a highlight. We used the fitness center daily and enjoyed walk-running along the boulevard. The kids (and adults!) held daily championships at the pool tables and ping pong stations, and we all appreciated the tiki umbrellas and the ample lounge chairs along the beach for some well-earned relaxation. Happy hour at the infinity pool and water slide was such a fun way to wind down. We played a round of golf and hit the driving range a few times as well, which was a great bonus. Our last night was the cherry on top—the social happy hour with Caribbean food, tropical drinks, live music, dancing with the Carnaval girls, and to top it all off, we won a raffle! What a way to wrap up the trip. The staff was incredible, always friendly and helpful. We’re already counting the days until we can return next year!
Spectacular Beach Resort

Our trip in April for 11 nights was once again amazing. The weather in Aruba is fantastic each and every day and this Resort provided a wonderful location to enjoy it. This is our 6th visit to Aruba and ...we return each year to DDV. Check -in was a bit stressful as our room requests despite numerous emails to Divi Reservations were vague and not communicated well with the Front Desk. After sorting this out we had our lovely one bedroom suite overlooking one of the 3 pools. It was a short walk to the sandy white beach. The room is spacious, clean, everything was in working order and cool and comfortably air conditioned. We walked the beach numerous times each and every day and never had to worry about finding an umbrella or lounge chairs available on all of the properties that belong to the 4 Divi Resorts there. The Beach Bar is our favourite spot to enjoy a tasty snack and 2 for 1 beverage specials. The staff is friendly and helpful when you make a request or need something. Overall this property is well maintained and we enjoy the fact that it is not super crowded and more on the quiet side so we can lounge and relax during our holiday.
