Imagine Living in Waikiki . . .
NotThatGDub (Albuquerque, New Mexico) on Dec 01, 2024
We loved staying at the Regency on Beachwalk. It is across the street from some lowrise older hotels and Fort DeRussy Park, which provided great views of the Ala Moana-Ali Wai skyline from the nice lanai. The Fort DeRussy beach is only a couple of blocks away, and it is much less crowded than the main Waikiki beach to the east. This end of Waikiki is less busy and a little quieter, yet only a block from the hustle and bustle of Kalakaua Avenue. It was easy to imagine ourselves living in one of these comfortable little apartments. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed opening the sliding doors to the view while sitting on the lanai with morning coffee or a sunset cocktail. The kitchenette had a full-sized refrigerator, stovetop and microwave (no oven). We made some light breakfasts and reheated leftovers, which saved some money. Chatting with the staff, we learned that most of the units are privately owned, so furnishings and decor can differ between units. However our unit was clean and relatively new. We have already booked our return trip.
Regency you could do better

After booking the Regency and arriving we were a little shocked at the room. It didn't look like the photos on the website. The bedroom was a little tight with only 1 lamp and 1 bedside table. I walked on the carpet and it was soaked we had to ask for a carpet drier to dry it out which took a few days, as you can imagine it was very noisy so we only had it on when we went out. The bed was comfortable and the room quiet as we were on the 9th floor. The balcony was nice to have breakfast and to watch the Friday night fireworks. The couch was comfortable but dirty. The bathroom was a good size, shower was good the sink was very hard to use due to the shape and the small tap, this is a very bad design. The pool at their sister property was nice and refreshing. We paid close to $3000 for 5 nights, I expected a little more as the last time we stayed in Hawaii we stayed at the Outrigger where the pool is located and it was much nicer.
Aloha service by Marjury and Zack

We had a suite for my two children, their spouses and babies at this condo. The suite was a perfect size for four adults and two babies with a beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. My wife planned this trip over a year in advance and all went well. I do have to give a shout out to Zach and Marjury for accommodating us with some special services and parking for our three nights stay on Waikiki Beach??. I highly recommend this location next to the Outreach Rigger Reef hotel. Enjoy!! Aloha ??????
Reasonably priced for Waikiki

Pros: 1. good location & within walking distance to most shops, restaurants, & beach. 2. Spacious condo: we stayed in 2 bedroom; living room, full kitchen 3. Friendly staff 5. Great price for Waikiki location Cons: 1. Room located on top of pizzeria & Japanese restaurant which food smells & fumes poured into our room; couldn’t open the balcony without the smell 2. No cleaning services even though we were there for 9 days? Had to take out our own trash. Poor broom/dust pan…I couldn’t keep the floors clean!? 3. Dated rooms; old furniture; poor drainage bathrooms.
This is a great condo. Very comfortable and convenient!

While this condo lacks the great views of the beach that many desire, it offers a great stay. We aren't the kind to sit around in a condo. We are an out and about crew. It's a two minute walk to Waikiki Beach (the condo has beach chairs to take with you), and a five minute walk from more than a dozen great eating establishments. The bedrooms are very comfortable, easy to keep cool, and the bathroom was super nice. My wife loved the washlet in the bathroom. I had plenty of places to run along the beach and down what I called "the magnificent mile" (high dollar stores). I would stay here again without question!
