Great stay

The walkablity to restaurants, the beach, and shopping was wonderful. Plenty of parking. The grounds were nice and relaxing. Liked that they had posted "quiet hours".

You can get better

Ana B on Aug 19, 2024

Although outdated and old furniture, the room was large. What bothered me the most was the stuffy smell that never went away, the AC who either was on full blast or none (nothing in between) and the fact that all parking spots were reserved. We had people knock on our door to move the car every morning. Every single spot is reserved to owners who apparently live here forever. Luckily for us we left after 2 days. We stayed at other locations in Kihei and had better experiences. We would not come back to this one.

Wonderful Hotel with great service and localization

Sightseer17181205614 on Aug 18, 2024

I recommend this Hotel with excellent service and room very comfortable. Very quiet place with not too many people. Very clean and comfortable room with comfortable bed. Amazing pool (2) and BBQ outside perfect to cook watching your kids in the pool. Wonderful beaches in front of Hotel and close to this Hotel. Lot of stores and good restaurants around. Perfect Hotel to visit Maui and very nice rooms.

Nice, clean etc, but

harry062024 on Aug 16, 2024

The room was clean. The staff was very nice. A couple of minutes walk to the beach, which is nice. The extra fees are a complete rip-off. Charging $150 extra for room cleaning - which is not done daily! - and then expecting guests to clean their trash out themselves at the end of their stay (and recycle everything correctly) under threats of extra charges: that really takes the biscuit. Adding to that: You should divide trash in three factions but there were only two trashbins. Plus sweep the floor. This was of course (considering it's Hawaii) not the only extra fee, but the outstanding one. In the rooms we inhabited for three days was a fridge, a microwave and a coffe-maker all right. And A/C if course. But no cups/mugs/pots for the coffee. No glass for my toothbrush in the bathroom. No crockery nor cutlery. No piece of paper and no pen to note something down. Now this is poor. Talked to the front desk. They could not help me. The fan in the bathroom was running day and night and could not be turned off. Now to think I had been three days at the Ashton in Waikiki before. Similar room, but everything there. No complaints, better service (icemaker and free DVDs in the lobby) for far less surcharge ("Resortfee", "cleaning fee" etc.) Last but not least, as a little advice for the staff: In Both rooms (Oahu / Maui) the guest could have coffee, they provided packs of "Hawaiian Paradise", good for two or three cups. In Waikiki, the coffee powder was in a satchet of filter paper. In Maui, the filter satchet was missing. What a mess. Please check next time what you buy. The packages both looked the same!! The safe was fastened poorly (small screws only); but that's how it usually is...
