Meh!

Thegoodegg (Chicago, IL) on Dec 27, 2024

The positives, the room was nice, the beds were comfy, the housekeepers were kind and so hard-working, the location is good. Egg sandwiches at the breakfast counter are very good and last at Parm is the same is being severs at Carbone but in the food court (same owner). Hot tubs are clean and nice especially in the cooler weather. The negatives, no place to put things in the fridge, no coffee in room, “resort fee” is a garbage fee and doesn’t offer anything unless you plan to make a lot of local and 800-number calls on the phone, parking charge in addition is another garbage fee by the hotel. The hotel just feels like a place shaking every penny out of each guest. Walls very thin and we could hear our neighbors talking in their room which was also very unpleasant. And when I asked for a one hour extension for check-out from 12 to 12 they said they couldn’t accommodate that request. Would we stay here again? No. Was it a terrible experience? No. Ultimately we received no sense of hospitality and wouldn’t hurry back. There is a different hotel on the Strip that offers a lot more for the $ and it is the one that looks like Venice. Book through Costco and save a lot and get a much nicer, bigger room for the same or less money.

Dusty & not up to Par

Jillian K on Dec 26, 2024

My husband and I have been wanting to stay at the Aria for the longest time. We were so excited to be visiting for Christmas. Sadly, we were so disappointed in the quality and comfort of the room. When we checked in, it was night time so it was hard to see the full cleanliness of the room. Check in was easy and we did it through the kiosk. We did a quick inspection of the room and it looked ok, but we should’ve paid more attention. We were pretty tired from the 5.5 hour drive and had dinner reservations to catch. The room was extremely dusty. Literally a film of dust on all surfaces. I was sneezing throughout our whole stay. The fabric headboards look like they’ve never been vacuumed, the bathroom door had weird stains and it was just not what we expected Aria to be. Not to mention, the bed sunk in on both sides. It was very hard and lumpy. No coffee, no fridge, no microwave. Also our tv volume only went down to 10. We stayed on the 3rd floor, room 30018. Deluxe King. Based on our experience, we would rather book at other hotels.

If you don't ask, you won't get it

The room was very nice and view wonderful. Check-in the Sunday before Christmas was a nightmare, though. Very long line. With a cane and feeling almost faint from standing, I asked if we could move ahead quicker, and a lady in charge moved us right away to a window to be served. There was hair in our shower - we asked housekeeping to take care of it and they came right away and also gave us a $50 voucher for food or drink in the hotel. I wasn't able to get out of the tub due to arthritis and the hotel called the EMT's. I was out and OK. Just ask for what you need or want and they will take care of it.

ARIA Autograph sin in sin city

1) The super hi-tech minibar charged $24 for merely opening the door of the minibar fridge. Front desk reversed the charge but refused to accept that the hi-tech system is a fraud and attempts to cheat the guests. Also, instead of being sorry or apologising for the system error, the guy at the front desk closed the conversation saying "we are done here". 2) During check-in, front desk guy gave a few complimentary 300ml water bottles and said that and I can get more later. He also told that the water bottles in the room would cost $26 each. The next day when I went to front desk at 9pm, the guy said the 300ml complimentary water bottle are given only during check-in. The nearest walgreens and CVS is a 15min walk one way from Aria. So, pay $26 to Aria for a water bottle or walk 30min up and down to get a water bottle from outside. 3) No mini fridge, No microwave oven, No coffee machine, No hot water kettle in the room.

Decent

As expected, Aria has a very busy casino for being in the center of the Strip. Hotel has a good variety of restaurants. Plenty of gaming options in the casino. The sports book is hidden and somewhat disappointing. Worth a visit for first time visitors.
