Great value for solo traveler’s

Road18614841653 (King's Lynn, United Kingdom) on Sep 21, 2024

Absolutely loved my 4 night solo holiday in the Sahara Las Vegas and would recommend it to others for the following pointers. . I arrived after around 14 hours of travelling from London visibly exhausted and thirsty , the check in line was really busy and on discretion they allowed me to check quickly in the vip lane and gave me a couple Cold bottles of water. I mean Wow to go above and beyond like that was impressive especially when they didn’t have too. . The room I stayed in was the Marra style king room Which was clean , really spacious , cosy which came with a safe free to use and a empty fridge which is really handy as you can buy drinks and snacks from the walgreens across the road to store stuff in . They do also proved 2 bottles of water in the room each day which I thought was nice. Some other hotels iv stayed in has a fridge but are stocked and sensors which you could be broke if you remove anything from it lol. . The Bathroom was no bath but a walk in shower which actually preferred. It was clean , spacious nice big sink all the towels you need and fully stocked with shower gel, shampoo, hand soap , lotion etc which I felt was a nice touch. . The hotel & Casino was big but not too big and featured a generous casino floor and an array of restaurants & Bars which caters from all budget types , I particularly liked the noodle den and felt it represented good value for money. If there’s was criticism I didn’t like the hotels in house shop a bottle of coke or a snack for example could cost more than $6 so stick to getting all your bits to stock from walgreens across the road as so much cheaper. . The monorail was part of the reason for choosing this hotel . I recommend getting a pass for the duration of your time. In the room the hotel offers a card with a discount Qr code to use for staying in the Sahara . I found using the monorail was quick , easy , safe (always plenty of security around) and convenient to get up and down the strip and you’re never waiting for more than 8 - 10 mins for 1 to arrive and you can be in the centre of the strip within 10-15 mins , Each station has a hotel attached to it to I recommend walking through the casinos to get to them rather than outside to keep cool. . At no point did I ever feel unsafe as was always plenty of security visible in and around the hotel which provided the element of safety. Also the staff were always super friendly and helpful and willing to help if you had any questions or concerns. Overall I would recommend staying here and the room rates and resort fees are very reasonable compared to other places in vegas.

Avoid this one.

34769pete (Northampton, United Kingdom) on Sep 19, 2024

Avoid would be my advice. It starts with an hour long line to check in at 4pm. When you finally see a clerk, he then tries to up sell you a room for additional money, at which point he tells you it's a now decision only and if you don't like the room you've booked you can't change it later. We declined. Our room was located in the Blanco tower and for the entirety of our stay, one of the 2 elevators didn't work. Meaning 1 elevator serves 16 floors, which means you are constantly standing waiting for an elevator. The time we spent simply waiting for one was ridiculous. It's the same for the parking lot elevators, 50% of those weren't in use either. This being Vegas, you pay $56 per night "resort" fee at check in, which basically means you can use the pool in your actual hotel BUT the pool doesn't open until 10am and closes promptly at 6pm. Why?Well I guess there's no money in you relaxing by the pool after a days sightseeing,.... We asked for our room to be serviced daily but still it wasn't, even when we complained to staff, it only got done on one occasion, which ss the staffs attitude towards customers up perfectly. The rooms are actually okay, not a bad size, although there's not a bathroom as such, basically each element of a bathroom is hidden behind sliding doors. The rooms are quite funky in decor but the "bathroom' sink is a tiny steel kitchen type one! The best thing about this hotel was the FREE parking....and leaving! (After the customary 15 minutes wait for the elevator) With so many choices in Las Vegas, choose somewhere - anywhere else.
