Andaz WeHo - what an experience!

Fantastic stay at the Andaz WeHo. From the moment we checked in, to the moment we checked out everything was above my expectation. We stayed with two little kids in a suite and boy oh boy, was it worth it.. Arrival / Check-in Valet service was top notch, everyone was kind, courteous and pleasant. Thank you Jesse at the front desk for all your help. Room: We got the Andaz suite and it was perfect. The room is very large, separate bedroom with a proper door, plus separate bathroom, also with a door (two actually, because you have bathroom access from the bedroom and from the living area. The living room featured a comfortable sectional sofa that can easily fit 6-8 people and it looked small in the living room. Lots of space. Loved the sun room with expansive views of Sunset Blvd. We were on the 6th floor and we were high enough to see the ocean. The bathroom was huge (surprise surprise), rain shower + separate tub which was fantastic for washing the kiddos. His and hers sink as well. The bedroom had enough space that we put a pack-n-play on each side of the bed and had plenty of space to walk around / between to get to the king size bed. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The location: Literally right next to the comedy store. I don’t think you can get more central WeHo than the Andaz. Great food and coffee around the hotel, CVS and Trader Joes 2mins away (by car) (10-15min walk). Service and cleanliness This was probably my favourite thing about the Andaz. Everyone we encountered, be it the Valet staff, the front desk, the cleaning staff- everyone was pleasant, easy going, helpful and kind. Our room was meticulously cleaned each day. Thank you v much as this made our stay that much more enjoyable. Conclusion The hotel is fantastic, the location is hard to beat and the service is top notch. Highly recommend, can’t wait to be back. I’ve stayed at the Andaz before in the past, and upon this recent stay it obvious that the upkeep is not important. The hotel felt damp at all times the room smelled of mold and urine, the walls, chair, and carpet just dirty. And not to mention $70 for valet which is an outright rip off. For the standard Hyatt holds this hotel you would expect more, don’t it will be a sad disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
