Clean & Comfortable

Not quite what I was expecting for the price & of what is advertised as a top end hotel. I know it rides on been the old Riot House Hotel all the rock bands stayed in. It was a perfectly fine hotel. Clean comfortable bed, tiny shower room but adequate. Quite dark corridors. No coffee maker in the room. Supposed to be free coffee at reception. But it was working just once during our stay. We did then have to buy from the coffee shop area. They do have free snacks, which is handy. Breakfast was included, which was good & served with a smile. You can pick from the set menu , hot drink, juice, & hot breakfast.... Not sure if I'd pay $95 for breakfast for 2 though, we had a deal with our stay so lucky was included. Next door to the comedy store. A mile or so to the Rainbow Bar & grill which was great. Also Saddle Ranch chop house was very good, great food & just a few steps away.
Good location and nice and clean

This hotel is in a good spot and tour buses depart from the comedy club next door so really handy. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are water and ice stations on every floor which is a plus. There is a great restaurant a few doors down from the hotel with a good menu and well cooked food. This restaurant also has a bucking broncho which is hilarious. The restaurant in the hotel itself is all short serve stuff. The staff are nice. There is a pool and a roof bar on top which is great, but not always available to hotel guests as some corporate events take place there. My main beef was that we were told on arrival that we could have free tea and coffee 24/7 by reception. I was later told that I was misinformed and that there was only coffee. Getting a teabag was like the holy grail with the cafe complaining that they never got reimbursed for teabags they gave to guests. There are no tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms which is a major negative.
