Zoetry/El Arroyo

Alexis (&crew) provided us with such a wonderful evening. He was knowledgeable about his product, engaging and fun, and efficient in his work. The dinner was awesome, from the Vegan Machaca and Shrimp/Hamachi Curricanes to the Churros for dessert, it was delicious and satisfying. What a great way to spend an evening with family and friends.
Relaxing in the heat

The jewel of this hotel is the Saltwater Restaurant. The food and service are superior to the El Arroyo Restaurant. Zacarias, Mary, Gerardo, Alessandra, Naila, Fidel, Temo, Cesar and Leonardo all provided impeccable personal service. They allowed you to pick and choose what you wanted from the extensive menu. Their Italian and Asian nights were a welcome change. We came here 10 years ago and will return.

The resort is just beautiful. Clean, comfortable, quiet with a focus on wellness. The organic food, incredible sunrises and sunsets, pools, super comfortable beds and amazing staff made me feel like I was welcome and cared for. To name a few… Eddie was so attentive, helpful and always with a smile; Jamie made all the activities fun; Renaldo taught me about Chilean wine; Jorge was so helpful arranging day tours and Alexis a top notch server. There are so many more who make this place so special. And there is so much more to experience. I am grateful for being here and highly recommend!
Escape by the Sea

This was our 4th time staying @ Zoetry Casa Del Mar Los Cabos. We had a beautiful room in the main hotel w/a very welcoming, “Repeat Guest” banner on our door, tasty treats & a sweet letter on our counter in the room upon our arrival! Thank you so much for all this! We had a wonderful time overall again here! Our trip especially improved once we got a few days into our stay & the staff stopped bothering us about whether we genuinely had a Bali bed reservation or not (we legitimately had one for the entire week), & once we started getting folks to serve us out on the beach (we were the only ones down there most of the week). We were disappointed that there were 2-weddings the first 3-days tho—it created tension one day w/us being able to enjoy our Bali bed after we had both just had massages & wanted to rest our sore bodies by the sea & let our massages settle-in a bit (we were told to close all our Bali bed curtains so that we were not infringing on the wedding—so then we were hot & sweating to death, & had to leave). It also caused the limited staff to be hyper-focused on the wedding people vs. caring for all guests. This is NOT a big enough resort for weddings, in our opinion. Guests are paying $700-1,000/night min. to stay here & should be able to enjoy their Bali beds, & all of the services & spaces of the hotel without feeling they are, “in the way.” It was also frustrating to be told that we could not smoke cigars out on the beach by our Bali bed when no one was around us – – all the beaches in Mexico are owned by the government and are full public access. So the resort actually does not have the authority or right to tell us that. But we went clear out by the water or clear back into the smoking section in the river bed where guests are supposed to smoke. After the first few days, we were treated so kindly & so well by MANY people. Our concierge for the week, Andrea, was just so wonderful to us from start to finish! She was kind, friendly, helpful, & so respectful – – unlike a couple of other people (who’s names I will kindly not mention) who in the past have had issue w/how many days we’ve stayed at the resort. It is sad when people make assumptions about you & due to their own jealousies, make negative comments about the length of your stay. My husband works very hard (70-80hrs./wk.), & I taught little children for 20-years & work very hard in politics now – – we saved our money to be able to travel. My husband‘s father has dementia, & we have been caring for him for the past year & a half, & are under immense stress with that right now. We shouldn’t have to deal with jeers & attitudes, or apologize for how many days we are staying at a resort & paying hard-earned money to do so. We could just stay in the states and give our money to our fellow Americans, but I have a heart for the Mexican people because I am a quarter Mexican myself. I would much rather come down to Mexico & give my money here. We also tip quite well when we are at the resort. We typically spend $800-1,000 in tips during our stay at this resort. I always change out the toilet paper when it is needed in the beach bathroom (even cleaning up gross, wet toilet paper off the floor so that the hardworking staff don’t have to do it). We always pick up all our trash & carry our beach towels up to the dirty towel bucket every night. I always clean up trash off the floors, around the beach and the resort while we are there. We always leave everything better than we find it—so NO ONE should be having an attitude about the length of our stay. We are always more than happy to go get our own drinks and bring dishes back to the staff when they are swamped with other guests. We never have an attitude about this, but we should not be made to feel like we are a pain for staying at the resort longer than a week. On a much more positive note: We are very grateful to Andrea, Mari, Alan, Zacharias, Gabrielle, Gerardo, Fidel, & Alessandra, who all took EXCELLENT care of us out on the beach!!! You guys are all so terrific!!! Alexis was also so awesome, fun & kind to us as our server in, “Arroyo.” We love him so much! Alan was new & he worked himself so hard out on the beach & at, “Saltwater!” He is just amazing! What a great guy! Mari is very sweet & kind, & we appreciated how she got to know our needs & just took care of us with such a kind heart all week! She is also so amazing! We love her so much, too! Gabriel, the wonderful waiter at the pool, is also always so great to us! He works so hard & faithfully, & is always kind & helpful to us! We adore him so much. We were extremely sad to hear the news of Suar no longer working at this resort, pretty quickly after our arrival. We missed him desperately – – his smile, friendliness, genuine care, desire to please, & just overall good-hearted-nature will be sorely missed by us & every guest who knew & love him like we did & do. THANK YOU AGAIN to all those above who cared for us & treated us so well. You gave a lovely escape to two hard-working people who truly needed it. Love & blessings to you all & hope to see you again down the road.

Our stay at Zoetry was amazing. The location was great. The size was great. It didn't feel like "spring break" we didn't have to fight for pool chairs. The rooms were clean and the bed incredibly comfortable. Views were nice and hearing the ocean at night made sleeping much better.
