We stayed at Hacienda Xcanatun after my brother's wedding in Merida. It was a magical experience. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The rooms are spectacular. The grounds are beautiful. The food is next level good. They took care of every detail for us and made us feel like royalty. The spa also is excellent. Our only complaint, which they warned us about ahead of time, was the construction of residences around the pool area. Thankfully it was nowhere near our room, but it was quite loud at the pool during the day. I just put my AirPods in and read my book. The pool was otherwise lovely and Leslie at the pool bar is a gem!

Spent a great 3 nights at the hacienda. The room was huge, with one of the nicest bathrooms I’ve seen. The pool wasn’t busy (even though the hotel was full), and the restaurant food was top quality. The staff were very friendly. Very happy with the stay.

Above and beyond experience for a short 2 night stay prior to a conference in Montejo Paseo. I wanted a luxury experience to celebrate my birthday and relax before a work conference in the city. From the WhatsApp communication starting a week prior to arrival, to the welcome sweets and surprise birthday cake in my hotel room… the staff at Hacienda Xcanatun was outstanding. Food… excellent! Ate at the house restaurant upon arrival and the food was AMAZING! Plantain chips with duck carnitas, queso relleno, shrimp tacos! The main pool was top notch. Leslie and her staff were so attentive. The pool has a nice ledge, so I sat in the water, drank bevvies with Chaya and read a book all afternoon. The room! STOP IT! They apologized because there was a wedding and the hotel was full, so they could not provide me with an “upgrade”, a perk of my AmEx Platinum…. Ya’ll I did not need an upgrade…. Private outdoor terrace, private - outdoor shower that connected to my main shower. If I had more time, I probably would have used the soaking tub… Spa, beautiful. I booked a Thai massage. Not what I was used to from a Thai massage, but the service quality was amazing and Fany’s hands were strong and on point. If I could do it again, I would just book a regular massage with Fany, or maybe a scalp and foot massage. There is a beautiful yoga deck overlooking a serene pond. Took some time for meditation and yoga there after my treatment. The second evening, I took an Uber into the city (very safe, very easy, no difficulty getting there or back)….

Hacienda Xcanatun takes hospitality in Merida onto a new level - it is perfect in every detail. From the moment you check in you are surrounded in luxury, tranquility, comfort and the best experiences. Two great restaurants serve the best regional and international dishes. Very good local artesanal beer. There are 3 pools, one Olympic size. If you travel to Merida, this is the place to stay. And very wonderful staff, attentive and friendly.

Great facilities. Excellent service and food. Very convenient location near the airport and beautiful local attractions and entertainment. I will make sure to come back to Xcanatun in future visits to Merida and Yucatan. Congratulations!
