Fantastic location and staff

Lawrence B (Keighley, United Kingdom) on Jul 03, 2025

Only one issue and that is the $160 tourist tax but that’s not down to the hotel. Be wary of this plus $100 deposit details. The hotel itself is great. Great front desk staff, extremely helpful and knowled...geable. One member of staff recommended a diner and a deli and we weren’t disappointed. Another went outside the hotel with us to show us which bus to get. We had a queen balcony room and that was great. Wasn’t expecting a great view as it is in middle of city but this was really good on the 16th floor. Hotel itself is a fantastic location with Times Square on the same road about 15 minutes walk away. Central Park 30 minutes walk away. Nice bar also. Loved it here and will definitely stay here if we come back to new york

I’ve just returned to the UK from a holiday in New York and stayed in this Hotel and the accommodation was excellent. Very comfortable and clean with friendly and professional staff. Any questions I had w...ere answered immediately by their excellent Operations Manager Christina. Great service that was much appreciated. I cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough.

Good but not great

Julie K (Fargo, North Dakota) on Jun 11, 2025

First trip to NYC. Location is good - about 15-20 minute walk to Times Square. A few blocks to restaurants, CVS, etc. If you are looking for a comfortable bed and fairly quiet hotel, this is a good op...tion. Because it’s near the edge of Manhattan was easy to get to from LGA. I appreciated the laminate flooring, much cleaner than carpet. Room for improvement - the staff when we checked in was extremely unfriendly. We arrived around 1:30 pm, before 3:00 check-in, and the man at the desk said there were no rooms available without even checking our reservation. The hotel is nowhere close to full. We were supposed to receive waters each day but did not. The bathroom could use a fan and a good deep clean. The floors were not cleaned during our 5 night stay - one of the light casings fell leaving Sheetrock chunks. We put the light back but the mess was never cleaned up. It’s a good option if you’ll be exploring most of the day and don’t mind walking or taxi/uber a bit. We walked and enjoyed it. It’s nice to be away from the hustle of Times Square.

An OK hotel

Binksy69 (Ashford, United Kingdom) on Jun 08, 2025

The bed was comfy and the pillows, we did not have a view apart from the other side of hotel which made it dark. Only had one bedside table which bizarrely had a fridge in lol, needed another bedside table... I had to bring the chair over to put book etc on. Bathroom was clean room could have done with a good polish I found dust all around. Was a little noisy because of the aircon but coped with it, We stayed 4 nights it was ok after all you only need it to sleep and shower, I think a bit over priced as we didn’t get breakfast and of course the Tax you have to pay on arrival, we were given a small bottle of water each a day. It was however quite central to most places to visit, we did enjoy our time in NY I took my daughter as a treat. The day before we left the maid had been in as usual but decided to take our tube of toothpaste, whether it was for a joke or because she couldn’t afford to buy some is beyond me I would have given it had she asked, just not acceptable. It was an OK hotel been in better but done the job

Bitten by FLEAS

lsmash20 on Jun 03, 2025

My partner and I stayed here for our anniversary and reunion trip with friends. I would have given this hotel 5 stars were it not for my friend being bitten by FLEAS for her weekend stay in a king room. Th...e hotel staff were quick to act taking photos of the bites, and chalked it up to FLEAS as a guest had previously stayed with a dog. Pretty disgusting that the hotel had not conducted this search in advance of my friend sleeping in the room. She is now returning home fearful that she is carrying fleas. The hotel comped the already stupid resort fee for her trip, when they absolutely should have comped at least a one nights stay. If it weren't for this unfortunate situation I would return. Would not recommend unless you want to pay to bring FLEAS home.
