Fantastic Hotel!

westonsupermud on Nov 01, 2024

My family and I have just returned to the UK after a 2 week stay at the Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista. We had read reviews previous to booking, so we knew what to expect, and it was all pretty much spot of. The hotel itself is spotless, everything works and the grounds are continually maintained to give a crisp look all the time. The staff were superb, from reception, security, restaurant, maids and shop staff, in particular the blonde haired lady who sold me my American sunglasses I had to buy twice because I lost the first pair, she was lovely, very friendly and remembered little details I'd told her days before, credit to her. The room was pretty much as expected, basic, but everything you need and clean! There was a hint of damp and faust when you first walk in, but fades after a while of you living in it. We had a motorway facing room, which wasn't that bad during the day, but did require ear plugs in the night. The pool was great, prefect size for the property and providing poolside towels was a great touch to save you using you're own. The park shuttles worked very well, a great free addition to the hotel, the drivers were always friendly and punctual. We ate in the restaurant on a few occassion, a grate selection was on offer, something for everyone and always kept clean. Perfect locations for parks and local amenities. Lovely hotel, will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend. Let the saving begin......hopefully see you in a few years ??

Great hotel as always

We are just finishing our stay at the Rosen at Lake Buena Vista and I just had to write a review. We have been many times and I have done reviews previously but this time we were there during storm Helene and Hurricane Milton. I cannot praise enough the staff during these times. The first storm left a bit of a mess and everyone straight out clearing up then when we knew hurricane Milton was coming it was slightly different. The hotel sent letters to every room advising us what to do to keep safe. The staff were amazing and stayed at the hotel to look after us all and make sure we had everything we needed. The Lite Bite area was so well stocked too. Clearing up after the hurricane in the grounds also required a lot of work but they were straight out sorting it all out. We felt safe throughout and that is due to the whole team that work there. Can’t wait to get back next year. Thank you all so much

good and will return

Have stayed here five times now and will continue to come back. Parking is plentiful and free. The shuttle is not great as we found previously so we drove this trip. Lynx bus very nearby is good. Staff are either lovely or indifferent. Rooms clean and housekeeping great. The buffet is not the best but we had three free meals and that was fine. Coffee in the room but you need own milk, and also microwave and fridge and safe excellent additions. Must say the towels are MINIATURE. Beds very comfy, air con loud but works great. We were there for hurricane milton and the management left info on our bed which was helpful. Didn’t use the pool or other amenities. Get a room opposite car park as it’s quieter. Very very close to parks, restaurants, supermarket - if you have a car. Disappointing that the closest convenience store is now shut as there’s nowhere in walking distance to carry lots of water back to the hotel for example. will definitely return if have car

I would go back

Great location, staff are lovely, rooms are very clean but a bit out dated, pool are great with fresh towels and stays open till 10pm, shop on site great for any things you have forgotten but a little expensive, only had breakfast once at the hotel as a few American chain restaurants only 10min walk away. Free shuttle to all the parks with is a bonus. I would stay here again Thank you for a lovely stay

Take the good with the bad

My positives are the restaurant was fantastic The Chef Peter was next to none professional… Waiter Teejay and waitresses was so friendly and went above and beyond to help out… we had breakfast most days and could not fault it was immaculate with food for everyone’s taste on offer. The pool was great clean and kids loved it never over crowded and plenty of loungers. We also enjoyed the added splash park again very clean. The rooms are dated but have everything you could need clean towels daily beds made. We was out every day so the dated style was no issues to us. Large amount of storage for unpacking. Air con or heat. The onsite shop was fantastic it had everything! My daughter eczema even flared up and we got cream for that… It really did have everything you could need… We chose to buy our gifts from here for home also. My negatives are i found all staff to be unhelpful nobody ever spoke or wanted to know you! From the warm welcome from restaurant to walking into hotel ground was two complete atmospheres! A expect hello and can i help with anything etc but maybe thats just me! We was given no information on arrival about anything we just had to figure everything out for ourselves. I thought would be Disney bus time tables up with shuttle times etc there was nothing we just had to use ubers. We had a issue with ants in our room i know you get these problems in all country's but our bed was walking with them they was coming out of plug sockets the lot! My daughter left a cookie on side and by morning you couldn't even see the cookie for ants the cooking was walking along the room! I really struggles with no balcony… With 3 children and wet swimming clothes and towels we had nowhere to dry them or put them until i done a wash. We went swimming every day so kids was having to put wet swimming clothes on. At £8 a wash and dry it was unaffordable to do this on a daily basis for such little loads. The washing machines was leaving clothes dirtier than put in and tumble dryers were so broken. Alot of bits around hotel ice machine, lifts, washers and dryers always had temporary out of order signs on. I personally wouldn't come back to stay at this hotel but we had a fantastic holiday all round.
