Park View suite was well worth the money.

DJ_Innocente (New York City, New York) on Dec 05, 2024

Me and my family of 5 loved the hotel. The Park view giving us access to see the fireworks from our balcony every night was well worth the money. Quick and easy access to the parks. Easy access parking. Not too far. Coffee downstairs was mid. But all in all an amazing time was had. Just wish there were more accommodations for character sitings considering we stayed at a Disney Resort.

Great location with modern amenities

Todnick (Boston, Massachusetts) on Nov 18, 2024

When we arrived we were greeted by a cast member in the lobby. She made sure that our magic bands were linked and then took us on a brief tour of the hotel. Despite being the first hotel built on the property, it’s very modern with clean lines and open spaces throughout. We were early but our room was ready within 10 minutes. We stayed on the 14th floor in a Club Level one-bedroom suite. The room was enormous with a large living and dining space. There was a small kitchen area with a refrigerator and microwave. The bedroom had two queen beds with ample storage space and a large bathroom. There was a second full bathroom off the foyer as you walked in. The balcony ran the length of the room and was nicely furnished. We had a perfect view of the Magic Kingdom and could watch the fireworks every night. The lounge was directly up the hall and they were constantly serving food and beverages. It was very convenient. There are several restaurants in the hotel. You can also catch the monorail on the 4th floor to go up to MK or one of the other resorts en route. The food at the restaurant is good but not great. But it’s definitely passable and very convenient right in the hotel. There are also some cool shops where you can get Disney-licensed merchandise. Some people have mentioned that the Disney theming is lacking and I’d agree with that, but that didn’t bother us in the least. The look was modern and sleek and definitely felt “contemporary.” Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again for the prime location, proximity to the monorail and buses, along with great service and a terrific suite that gave the three of us plenty of space and privacy.

Never again! Old dingy Motel 6!

TravelGirl4228 (Warwick, New York) on Nov 14, 2024

Stayed 2 nights. Where to begin..Well let's see. Pulled up to check-in. Valet was extremely rude especially when I told him I was self parking. The girl at bell serives was clueless. I asked her if there was a separate parking lot for the Garden Wing. She had no clue. I said well get someone who does because I am not walking all that way if there is. Garden Wing looks like a cheap Motel 6. Old and dingy on the outside. Incredibles rooms are drab, dull, boring and small. We were on the 3rd floor and still could not see the light parade on the water because of all of the trees. I guess they only cater to the filthy rich. The food at the Contempo Cafe was aweful and cold. Would not refund or give me a new meal. The monorail is disgusting and looks like it is never cleaned. For the outrageous, ridiculous amount of money you charge, shame on you! Shame on Disney.

Christmas Gingerbread House

KieranJP90 (Northamptonshire, United Kingdom) on Nov 13, 2024

Attended to see the Christmas Decorations. Able to view the homemade gingerbread castle (replica of Magic Kingdom Cinderella’s castle) on the 4th floor / lobby. When we attended the chef was present and having pictures with guests and talking about how he made it which was interesting. General walk round the resort, outside to the boat jetty, and back to the monorail. Busy like other resorts but great to have free roam of all the common areas.

More Disney Outsourcing More Problems

Greg D on Nov 08, 2024

One huge problem if it becomes a problem. Disney has outsourced its luggage service at door. Give them your bags and they are not Disney employees. Took an hour to get the Disney bell hop to track down guy from separate company to get our bags. Never run into problem like this in 30+ years of hotel stays even at some sub par hotels. Disney hop said this isn't an unusual problem since they outsourced the service. Outsourced employee was rude as well. Like I said not a big deal unless you actually want or need your luggage within an hour of asking for it. Otherwise you should be fine.
