As Marriott Bonvoy members, we've been here several times! It's so centrally located to everything, and attached to the large Rideau Centre. It's easily accessible by car, although the parking lot can get quite packed since it is part of the Rideau Centre parking. You are close to everything here! Byward Market, Sparks Street, Parliament Buildings, restaurants, shopping, and more! Max, who checked us in, was so welcoming and personable! He got us squared away quickly in our room. We did have an issue with the safe, but the maintenance manager was up to us quickly. Unfortunately he couldn't fix it, but quickly got us settled in another room. Very helpful and accommodating! Our room (king) was large, as always, but looking a little worse for wear. Definitely need a refresh and update! Stains on the chairs, old carpet and drapes. But all in all clean, and comfortable. (We were told that they will be going through a major renovation soon in their rooms.) We visit Daly's for breakfast, and the food is delicious! A la carte or buffet, which are great options. Our server was so friendly and accommodating. What a joy! Definitely our go to hotel in Ottawa!

My room had a beautiful view of the Parliament! The hotel is connected to a Mall on the 3rd floor. When you get out of the mall you can walk to the Byward market and then walk back via Downtown Rideau! Easy access to Rideau street Downtown Ottawa is a sight to see!

Stayed at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa for three nights. Very good hotel over all. Rooms are large and have been updated. The location is excellent, close to By Ward Market, parliament buildings, hop on hop bus route and attached to a shopping mall as well. Tip in regards to parking, the entrance to underground parking is part of the drive way of the hotel. Down load the app to pay, if you download the app you can simply extend your parking time from the app as needed. I paid using the link to there website but could not extending parking time so it ending up costing more this way, so use the app instead. Shore steakhouse in the hotel was excellent. Dalys restaurant in the hotel for breakfast was good as well but a little expensive for what you get. Breakfast Buffett was $37 per head. Dinner at the Shore was $265 for two, tip included. Homeless around the hotel as well but never felt unsafe at any time. Hotel has a good gym and small pool and hot tub. Hot tub is only a 1 out of 10. Really surprised how bad it was, my back was sore and was looking forward to the hot tub but it sucks. Bed was comfortable and the hotel is very clean. Would recommend for business traveller, family and couples.

Every member of staff we encountered or had to deal with were professional & friendly. The hotel is in a great central location. The hotel & rooms are rather dated & in need of an upgrade & I've been told that they are embarking on a new renovation. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

requested a "nice room" and they ensured I got one...It was so great I mostly stayed in to look out the window..Ross Meredith...the GM..sent me a nice welcome surprise..He is very good to my family and myself... It is a classic style hotel, excellent location..The staff is very friendly...Although I didnt have my dog, it is a great hotel to take a dog, at no extra charge!!!
