I love everything about this hotel, front desk Miguel was amazing. The adult bar bartenders are super friendly and make the best cocktails, same as the bar close to the suite 2000 near the pool. Restaurants all of them are good..the only one I didn't try was the blue restaurant. Room was super clean always. I love the people there. Very nice charming, lovely and professional. There are two malls walking distance Plaza caracol and has also a groceries Sonora and la isla mall super safe and everyone is super friendly.

Have travelled to the Friendly many times and always enjoy coming back. The beach is great, no issues with rooms. What we really enjoy is the staff. The servers on the beach, Tony, Double Double, Hugo, Jose really know how to look after you. Teo in the coffee bar always serves with a smile. Bartender Erika always has interesting new concoctions to try. Pasta Master Mitzi always greets you with a smile and whips up some mean pasta. Kira and Issac with activities really know how to keep you entertained. If I had any less than fully positive feedback would be in Azul, it is very loud in there even with tables having normal conversations, could use some sound baffles and I wish they brought back the evening stage shows in the theater, always loved them.

Second year in a row for us. Traveled with Air Canada Vacations this time. The trip was flawless. The room was water view on the 9th floor of the tower. Room was as expected, but the king bed was really hard and lacking enough pillows. Amazing views of the bay, fireworks, whales and cruise ships. Coffee in the lobby every morning, and the buffets were decent food and plenty of options. The 2 al a cartes (open on alternating days) are quite good, and service is amazing. Staff at this resort are plenty and super friendly. There are lots of new seating options on the beach and around the pool. This resort was busy and is catering to a lot of Mexican nationals who were very polite and respectful. Not an issue for us at all. On our last night about 300 college kids arrived and their energy was apparent. There were no issues, and we alll had a fun time. This is a pleasant resort has but is not a party location. Music is on but stops at 11 pm. There is not much to donat night other than relax but that works for us. Could they do some stuff better? Probably, but for the price we paid, we were more than satisfied and would gladly return.

We have just returned from our trip to Mexico. First time in Puerto Vallarta. Looked at many hotels and settled on Hotel Friendly after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. This is a smaller resort and very different for us. Staff: As said before the staff from start to finish were great. Always pleasant and helpful. Check in smooth. Usual Bracelet. You will receive towel cards. Simply exchange your towels as needed. Had a couple issues that we needed assistance with. Once about our towels being moved. Got that sorted. The other when our Air Canada rep did not show up for our orientation. Got that sorted. Location: Very good. Walk on sandy beach either direction. towards the Marina easy. Watched several cruise ships entering the harbour. Trip from airport to hotel. Easy. About 20 minutes a bit longer in heavier traffic. vs 1 hour plus travel in Mayan Riveria The airport was interesting. On arrival huge crowds and a bit of chaos. Easy enough to figure out. Air Canada did not give us entry forms on the plane. I forgot to ask. No mention of picking it up at desk before getting into the cattle chute cues before final exit. The entire plane was scrambling. We talked to each other and got that sorted… Departure was a breeze. Easy to leave resort which we did and walked to a Local mall near by. Bus, taxi easy to get. We did not do this. Beach: nice. Sandy. Water easy to access no water shoes needed. The ocean perfect Sun beds and loungers available. Yes get your towels out before 8am. Not hard to do. Always found a good spot. Room: emailed hotel prior to our trip inquiring about rooms etc. got an immediate reply said to indicate preferences when we booked which I did. There are 2 lower buildings with Four floors and a tower I believe it had 12 Floors. We were placed on the 4th floor of lower building. Looks like this has been renovated. The room was perfect. No mini bar. Not needed. You can get water and drinks anytime. Faced building next door. Views of beach. Quiet. Room was clean and tidy. You will receive 2 bottles of water and can refill at water cooler in the hallway. Food: 2 buffets. One with more variety. Breakfast lots of variety. Lunch and dinner similar but changed up daily. Yes a bit repetitive at times but still good. It has been said before the food was not hot but did not matter. Still tasty. Did not get sick. That is a big deal and really important in my research. 3 restaurants. 2 require booking (we did not bother) told by others good. the other walk is open 24 hours. Coffee area. This was nice and a bonus. Got coffee at 4am from coffee station. 6am onwards refreshed and at the counter made to order. I started with double espresso. Perfect 3 pools. First one for families. We never used it. Sun beds and loungers. 2 hot tubs. Did not use 2 other pools. Used both. Adult pool and hot tub. Many sun beds in front of pools. One Positive/Negative for us. Comments made in past reviews about Loud music. Adult pool 8am-10am empty and quiet music. Perfect 10am -12 ok. 12 noon the music cranked up in part for the aerobics in second pool. This continued on and off until 5pm. The adult pool became something different. If this is for you great. On one occasion noted a young man providing synthesized music. If this is for you great. Some of the music he provided with lyrics was completely inappropriate. Located right next to the family pool. Our first day we experienced a young lady playing a flute. Pretty nice. Most days live music in the morning for a period of time before 12. Also nice. We met a number of folks from around Canada which was nice. One couple are repeat guests 7th trip. Would we return? Unsure. Lots of positives with this resort.

Place is very noisy til 11 every night they blast music from the beach with no consideration that some people just want to relax quietly in their room. Food is mediocre, always the same. They cater more to the Mexicans and most guests are Mexican, not that there’s anything wrong with that. Staff are friendly and room was clean, but unless you’re young and want to party all the time, it’s not the place to stay at. Would not recommend.
