The next phase of renovation and modernization of the rooms will begin May 1 at Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana and Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro. These new rooms complement those renovated last year and will be available starting November 2024.
The renovation works will not interfere with the operation of the common areas and services of the rest of the resort.
Outline of work being done:
• Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana and Grand Bávaro: From May 1st until November 19th, over 400 Junior Suites will be renovated and converted into two new categories: 2 Bedroom Family Suites and Junior Suite Premium.
• Electric Train Route between the mangrove and the new La Isla area (located at Bahia Principe Grand Bávaro): The route will remain operational and will only experience modifications in its trajectory. It will move towards the sides of Bahia Principe Luxury Esmeralda and Bahia Principe Grand Bávaro, without interruption in service.
All work will be carried out daily (Monday to Sunday) between 8 am and 6 pm. Any work generating noise will be conducted only after 9 am.
Although some noise may be heard, all efforts will be made to minimize impact to guests during this time.

Front desk staff is not intentive. Rooms are VERY dated and are in need of an update. Food is mediocre at best. Buffet variety is poor. Quality of food is poor. Oriental Takara Restaurant is a must though. I am unable to recommend this property.

we just back from holiday, in Bahia Principe Punta Cana.7 peoples,3 families,all of us can recommend this hotel to everyone,families,friends etc good food(lots of choise from fruits,yoghurts,salads,meats,seafoods etc),pools clean,see view is absolutely great,rooms cleaned every day,daily entertainment also is good,price wasnt so bad for that holiday(flight from UK),helpfull staff always answered if had issue,so really recommended ????????
