My husband and I stayed at the Magestic Club side for 9 nights in August. We booked with Costco. We have been to four different all inclusive resorts prior to our first visit to the Magestic. It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation and we will definitely return. The staff totally made our vacation memorable and enjoyable. Leandro at the club pool was not only fantastic at mixing (he’s the only bartender we have ever had that mastered my husband’s favorite drink-Long Island Ice Tea), but he was entertaining, personable, and just made the days so much fun. We often didn’t leave the pool until closing because we were having such a great time. You could easily tell he sincerely loves his job. His side kick bartender Minerva was great as well and always had a smile on her face. Domingo always made sure you had fresh warm towels and would happily set up your cabana for you. As for wait staff, Jean Carlos was our server on many different occasions, sometimes at different restaurants on the same day. He always remembered us and made our mealtimes feel special. At an all inclusive resort the staff can make or break your experience. The staff at the Magestic were all friendly and welcoming and we would definitely come back for them alone. There are many things that made this resort stand out from other resorts we have stayed at. Pools: As club guests, we had access to the adult only pool on a separate side of the resort. Never once did a child try to enter the pool, an annoying problem we have experienced in all the other resorts we have stayed at. The lazy river on the family side was so relaxing and fun. The pools never seemed crowded because there was so much room to spread out. Also the pools had some shaded area which helped when the sun was strong. The pool water never felt a sauna like other resorts in August. We never had a problem getting a cabana at the pool. There were plenty of loungers at both pools even throughout the day. You did not need a towel card which was nice and they always had an ample supply of towels. Bars: They had plenty of bars scattered throughout the property. You will never go thirsty as they had bars open early (for my espresso martinis) and late (for my chocolate martini) as well as bars directly on the beach. The adult pool bars were open until 6, another plus. They had mixology classes and speciality drinks at night. Restaurants: The buffet was pretty much standard all inclusive buffet style. You could always find something to eat. I did like that they had a mimosa cart being pushed around in the am and converted to wine cart in the pm. You never had to wait long for a drink. We enjoyed the sit downs. The menus were far more extensive and a greater selection than other resorts we have been to. I ordered lobster almost every night as it was so tender, flavorful and just delicious. We also enjoyed the sports bar one night for a change. The wings and onion rings were very good. Entertainment: They had lots of activities throughout the day for both adults and kids. These activities varied which I really liked since we were there for 9 nights. The entertainment crew really worked hard to ensure everyone was having fun. Their enthusiasm made it easy to join in. My husband who never, ever joins in games participated in a pool game and won! I’m usually and hesistant to participate, but I joined in the morning stretching class and a Zumba class. The nighttime entertainment was far better than other resorts. We actually stayed for the entire show which we usually don’t do. The open air theater also had fans which made it very comfortable and a bar close by for your after dinner drinks. Rooms: The rooms were clean and comfortable. The mattress wasn’t as hard as a rock like I have experienced at other resorts. The room layout is open concept like others. We liked that the room key was connected to our wrist band which was very convenient. Overall: The property was beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and along their beautiful stretch of beach. We never felt we had to walk far to get what needed and never felt cramped. We really enjoyed our stay at this resort and can’t wait to go back!

Service at the resort was excellent. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. Numerous special requests were accommodated quickly and effectively by both Angelo our Majestic Butler and “El Peluche” the sommelier. I would happily come back here next time I am in DR. Was here for a wedding, but felt like I was truly also on vacation, which can be hard to do with so many wedding activities pre-planned. Thank you to the entire staff. -Scott
