It's one if not the nicest resort we've stayed at. From the moment you enter the resort, it's so beautiful and a lot to take in. As this being the 2nd Secrets we've visited after Maroma, the only unpleasant feedback I can give is I wish they had more activities like Maroma. Maybe add more volleyball games instead of 1, or basketball, maybe tennis during the day. Also need more night activities. Another thing I noticed is they did not have a restaurant specifically for preferred members and a preferred lounge with pool table and other games, like Maroma. But food and drinks here at Akumal is waaaaay better than Maroma. So whatever Akumal was missing, it's okay in exchanged for better food and drinks. Overall, I prefer this resort over Maroma, if I have to pick.

We love this resort! We have been here 3 times. Did a site inspection in 2022, got married there in 2023, and returned for a honeymoon/babymoon in 2024. The food here is incredible, the service is top notch and the ambiance is out of this world! We will happily come back after baby is born for a full week of true paradise!
