Amazing animal sanctuary where we spent most of our time!

The resort was everything we needed. The grounds are mostly flat and handicap accessible, the staff were mostly attentive and friendly, and we spent most of our time at the beautiful animal sanctuary. The animal sanctuary is located on the grounds of Coconut Bay and it is run by Tom (chief engineer). St Lucia Animal Protection Society is an incredible organization and the dogs were the highlight of our trip… along with the male goat who seemed to take interest in my partner! There are chickens, roosters, donkeys, ducks, goats and dogs! I was so impressed with the sanctuary and how well kept it is. I cannot wait to come back to see the renovations. Don’t go over to the sanctuary dressed to impress, if you’re an animal lover you’ll enjoy all of the puppy kisses and muddy paws. There is a sink with soap by the entrance of the sanctuary. Lucy (the resort dog) was another highlight of our trip. I can’t express enough gratitude for Tom, his wife, and staff for taking care of these precious animals and giving them loving homes. I wish I could have brought them all home with me! Pete would have adored my dog at home. This resort is only a 5 minute drive from the airport and has everything you will need. Plenty of beachfront to walk, snorkel gear is provided and plenty of food options. We enjoyed karaoke with the staff, and the dinner entertainment shows. We didn’t even swim in the pools because we spent plenty of time snorkeling in the ocean. The water slides and lazy River was a great way to relax after a long day of hiking Gros Piton. The resort has an adult side and a family side. We didn’t go to the resort with children, but we spent most of our time on the family side. The housekeeping staff was incredible. Everyday our room was cleaned and waters were provided. I believe our housekeeper was Regina and she was very kind. This resort is clean and hospitable… I highly recommend! We will definitely be back to see Tom at the animal sanctuary! Thank you & see you soon!
Amazing place for a family holiday and perfect wedding

Amazing place, so big, very good for kids and family. It can get a bit busy, but you can always find something to do. We loved the food, and the variety of it, plus drinks - cocktails. The rooms are a bit dated for 4 star, but we were out most of the time. What make this place so special is the staff, work so hard, but never the less so friendly. We had our wedding, and despite they got our last name wrongly and there was a big delay with our dinner, it was perfect, couldn't wish for a better place for our special day. Thank you Coconut Bay we will definitely be back. Natalia&James&Eli&Oli xxx
