My review for our stay at Sandals Halcyon, Saint Lucia. Sandals has three resorts on the island and we visited all three. This property was the smallest with a very relaxing, intimate feel. Even though thi...s is the oldest of the three, the entire resort is clean and well maintained. It has two pool areas, both with swim up pool bars, and a “lazy river” pool too. The entire staff is very friendly, accommodating and professional. Always smiling and engaging. Food and drinks are very good. We enjoyed every meal and snack we ate. Reservations for dinner are only required for the Hibachi table at Kimonos Japanese restaurant and Kelly’s Dockside over the water restaurant. We were able to get a reservation for both restaurants with no problems and multiple seating times available. Dress code for all restaurants for dinner is resort casual. Men are not required to wear dress pants. The drinks are yummy with top shelf liquor included. Finding lounge chairs by the pools or on the beach is not impossible but the butlers and some guests get up very early to start saving the prime seats by the main pool. Entertainment at night is very nice with a variety of shows from a violin player during dinner to full stage shows with multiple performers. Housekeeping did an excellent job at cleaning and restocking the room. I absolutely loved Saint Lucia and this resort was very nice for a relaxing getaway. I will recommend Sandals Halcyon to my clients when I feel it will be a good fit for them.

We are just leaving the island but before departing I had to say what a wonderful time we had. This was our second Sandals destination and the Halcyon did not disappoint. Our Butlers were so attentive an...d Crystal C and Gibson went beyond our expectations. They attended to so many extra details to ensure we were completely happy during our stay. Jvan from Kelly’s was an incredible server and made our dinner on the little deck so special. Berthina’s lovely smile every morning at Bayside also made my day. Saminia thank you for the 60s dance! We travel extensively and stay in 5 star Four Seasons to boutique hotels in foreign counties. We have eaten in the very best restaurants in Copenhagen, Obre, Dublin, Cork, Bordeaux, Paris and NY to name a few. We have eaten at little hole in the wall dumping places and fish huts in Cozumel. What makes your trip is what you lean into it. Sandals is not a 5 Star Michelin resort. It is not “White Lotus”. It isn’t Jade Mountain. It’s not a Four Seasons. It is a great value for your money. You can eat and drink all you want. You can walk straight from your room right to the beach (not available at some of the high end resorts) The pools are clean and you can choose a private (which we did) , quiet or party. The food is as good as any above average restaurant we’ve eaten anywhere. Food is always hit or miss….even Michelin stars. And believe me we’ve experienced it. Our favorites at Halcyon were Kelly’s and Mario’s and don’t skip the jerk chicken pizza. I’m already craving it. I wouid say that the beach side restaurant was our least favorite except for those fabulous wings! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The property is beautiful. It is on a busy road but don’t let that discourage you. You’ll hear very few sounds of the real life. The Halcyon property with its many secluded areas and its beach is just beautiful. The rooms are gorgeous and clean. They are refreshed everyday. There were always clean towels and the sand was swept out. Sand is everywhere. If you’re expecting immaculate don’t come to the beach. Come with the expectation of relaxing, and letting the cares drift away. This is what sandals is for.

Sandals Halcyon Beach Our recent stay at Sandals Halcyon Beach left us with mixed impressions. To begin with, the transfer from the airport is quite long and could be unnerving for those uncomfortable wit...h winding, mountainous roads — something to keep in mind when booking. The resort itself feels dated and could really benefit from a refresh. In particular, the deck chairs are in need of replacement, as they detract from what should be a relaxing beach experience. Upon arrival, the welcome was warm and pleasant, which initially raised our hopes. However, as the stay progressed, we noticed that some of the staff seemed less approachable, with a clear tendency to favour American guests. We were disappointed to learn that this might be due to tipping practices, which go against Sandals' advertised no-tipping policy. On a positive note, the food was generally good and there were several enjoyable dining options. That said, in a resort marketed as 5-star, we expected higher quality in certain basics — for example, fresh orange juice and branded soft drinks like Coca-Cola, which were notably absent. Having held high expectations of the Sandals brand, I left feeling that it may no longer live up to the prestige it once held. It's a pleasant resort in many ways, but not quite the luxury experience we had hoped for. And I am not sure I would book a sandals again

Excellent resort in wonderful surroundings. The staff throughout the resort were very friendly and helpful. Food quality at the restaurants were of a good standard and great attention is paid to dietry and... intolerance issues. Free shuttles to the other nearby Sandals resorts were provided which we took advantage of for a couple of visits. Will return if I can rustle up some extra money as it does make an expensive trip from the UK

We went to the Halcyon resort for my 50th birthday - what a treat! The staff really make this resort, they were very friendly, took the time to make sure we were having a great time, and truly went above ...and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable! We were truly blown away by their kindness and the effort they put in to make my 50th birthday special. Everyone was great, but we want to give extra recognition and thanks to Venicia, Nyree, Ronel, Francis and Patrick. I went scuba diving with the Halcyon resort dive team and want to say that all of the dive masters and instructors that I dove with were fantastic. One dive team member specifically stands out, Martin, who took me on the deep wreck dive. It was a fantastic dive, he was incredible as a dive guide. The Halcyon is definitely the "quieter" of the resorts on St Lucia and it was perfect for what we were looking for. Reading in the garden cabanas, swimming in the ocean, or floating in the pool was quiet, relaxing and peaceful. While the Halcyon doesn't have as many food options as the other two St; Lucia resorts, the food there was great, and it was an easy shuttle trip to the other resorts if we were looking some variety. Our only real suggestion for improvement would be to have a snack bar or Cafe de Paris where you could get snacks or ice cream during the day (and not just at lunch time). We would return to the Halcyon again without hesitation.
