5 Star experience, awesome location close to downtown and restaurants

Flipadee005 (Chicago, IL) on Aug 08, 2024

Stayed here with my family and the staff was very nice and helpful. Stayed for 5 days and paid for late check-out (4pm). The rooms and beds were very comfortable and house keeping came daily to help tidy up the place. Amenities included free 2-hour bicycle rentals, which we used to visit Stanley Park and Canada Place. We enjoyed the location as it connects to the Stanley Park Seawall and is walking distance to Robson St with a Safeway and a bunch of restaurants. There's also 2 restaurants on-site in case you're lazy to go out. Pros: Indoor/Outdoor pools, adjacent to Seawall, complimentary bike rentals Cons: If booking a room with a garden/pool view, I would recommend a higher floor. We were placed on the 3rd floor our pool view was obstructed by the roof of the restaurant. They did offer to put us on a higher floor, but we'd lose the 2 double beds, so we opted not to. Overall - recommend the Westin for their service, amenities, and prime location.

Pretty view, but lots of inconveniences

O6753YSpams on Aug 04, 2024

Lovely view of harbor 1 All the electrical outlets have covers on them so could not plug in or phone and hair dryer; check in clerk says he would give me a black box to plug in but I asked him where I should plug it in since all the outlets were covered; he write up a ticket fur intersect check it sometime 2 - no bottled water provided because hotel is cutting back on Single use plastic but check in desk clerk said I can buy it at the gift shop; I bought 2 bottles for$ 8; guess the cutbacks are for the Westin to save money not save plastic 3 - tobacco soap give as Bonvoy Ambassador gift sends a poor message to those trying to stop smoking 4 - ice cream was horrible tasting 5 elevator door not working got stuck in it twice on 31st floor and two other times it opened but would not close 6 - cruise ship passengers stay here so really busy especially at breakfast 7 - really expensive parking 8 - pillows hard as rock! 9 - bathroom was really dusty with dirt 10 - do many slobbery dogs in this hotel
