First Trip to Cuba!
yeeitscath on Jul 13, 2024
We had the best stay for a week in the resort! The room that we got was good! The food was okay. The beach was not overcrowded or loud! When we were riding the boat to go for snorking we passed by to a lot of resorts and you can hear the music in the middle of the sea and its kinda crowded! The beach have white sand beach and clear blue water! They have different activities everyday. They have different performances at night like magic shows etc. They also have souvenirs shop so you dont have to get out of the resort if you dont want too! All the staff in the resort are very welcoming, friendly & helpful! Shoutout to Reneir for always checking up on us everytime he sees us ( He even tried to find us some chips in downtown varadero) & Jorge for cooking our fav. omelettes and making sure were eating good and were comfy! ?? Seriously, they have the best staff here! But if you ever get bored and nothing to do, you can sight see downtown varadero, you just have to walked out of the resort and wait for the hop on & off bus for $5usd per person for 9am-6pm only! P.S if youre coming to Cuba, bring your chips! They dont have any or if they do? Its probably $10usd for small pringles! They sell a lot of Celebrations Cookies/Crackers but still expensive!
Amazing 5* Beach - Regular Hotel

We stayed here (couple) from 9 to 16/Jun 2024. Pros: -The beach was absolutely wonderful, the sand and the water, the best one we ever been -The staff was really trying their best and always trying to solve all the issues (in particular the smiley reception woman that got our room changed -I forgot her name-). In general good service and we were always well treated. -The buffet was ok (taking in consideration the shortage of some goods that Cuba is facing) and we always find something that was ok for us. -The restaurant a la carte had some good meat dishes like the beef that seems like a stewed picanha (very good) or the shrimps in a shell. Hotel management: Please tell the cooks to stop wasting pasta and ingredients on a so big pasta plate with cheese and ham (and is a really bad plate). Cons: -The hotel needs repairs: We needed to change twice our room as the two we were first was falling water (when it rains)near the balcony large window, and also in the room entrance (from the air conditioner pipes on top of the ceiling). Also both rooms and the hall were with lots of dead ants with wings (or only the wings). -There were always lots of flies in the buffet restaurant. -Not much variety of drinks (I´m more a beer guy) and sometimes even the beer runs out in the pool and only in the lobby is always available (and the beach bar never has any cool drink) (we never frequented the pool, always the beach). Tip: If possible choose the rooms not facing to the pool/beach for the reasons I mentioned (especially if you are staying in periods that could rain)
