WestJet and RBC have added a new benefit to the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard that makes achieving tier status with WestJet Rewards easier than ever before. Status Lift, a new annual benefit of the card, makes your everyday spend go further for you, bringing you closer to achieving a higher tier.
How it works
For every $15,000 you spend on your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard you’ll now receive a Status Lift of $500 in tier qualifying spend, making it easier to progress to your next tier. You can earn three lifts each qualifying year (January 1 – December 31) for a total of $1,500 in tier qualifying spend.
Tier qualifying spend tracks your progress towards achieving Silver status (at $3,000), Gold status (at $5,000) or Platinum status (at $8,000) in the WestJet Rewards program each year. It includes 100 per cent of the amount you spend on eligible WestJet base fares, 20 per cent of the individual portion of the base price of eligible WestJet Vacations packages, and now includes up to $1,500 earned through Status Lift with your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard.
