Lagoon Tower Improvement Project, November 21, 2022, through December 19, 2025.
Royal Kona Resort is a 12-acre oceanfront landmark with three distinct guestroom towers - Alii Tower, Bay Tower and Lagoon Tower
Beginning November 21, 2022, exterior improvements will take place at the Lagoon Tower located on the southern end of the resort property. As a courtesy, resort guests will be accommodated exclusively in the Bay Tower and the Alii Tower for the project duration. To minimize noise disruption, repair work on the Lagoon Tower will be restricted between 9am and 4pm daily.
All efforts will be made to minimize impact to guests during this time.

This 12-acre landmark oceanfront resort overlooks breathtaking Kailua Bay and is in the heart of Kailua-Kona. Within walking distance of restaurants, shops, historical sites, activities and a great base for exploring the island including Volcanoes National Park and the Astronomy Center of Hawaii.

Great Resort with Exceptional Staff

Great resort with exceptional Staff! I woke up on our travel day back to the mainland with an epic migraine and had to reschedule travel for next day. I called the resort and they let us check in early. T...he resort was built in late 1960s, is very charming and nicely updated. Great location in the heart of Kailua. Unit was very clean with comfy bed, great pillows and beautiful view. Huggos on the Rocks next door is one of our favorite places!
Great room but not so great parking.

The room was very nice and there were plenty of pillows for the bed. Our view of the sunset over the ocean was fantastic. Only complaints were the elevator doors closed tooooo fast and the parking, which ...I paid $25 per day for, was in a lot that also had public parking. And more than a few of the people parking there hogged two spaces. Which meant I had to park further away from the hotel.
