Lagoon Tower Improvement Project, November 21, 2022, through December 19, 2025.
Royal Kona Resort is a 12-acre oceanfront landmark with three distinct guestroom towers - Alii Tower, Bay Tower and Lagoon Tower
Beginning November 21, 2022, exterior improvements will take place at the Lagoon Tower located on the southern end of the resort property. As a courtesy, resort guests will be accommodated exclusively in the Bay Tower and the Alii Tower for the project duration. To minimize noise disruption, repair work on the Lagoon Tower will be restricted between 9am and 4pm daily.
All efforts will be made to minimize impact to guests during this time.

This 12-acre landmark oceanfront resort overlooks breathtaking Kailua Bay and is in the heart of Kailua-Kona. Within walking distance of restaurants, shops, historical sites, activities and a great base for exploring the island including Volcanoes National Park and the Astronomy Center of Hawaii.

The lobby / registration area is very nice. Has the feel that you imagine when you think tropical resort. The guest rooms are dated and past due for a renovation. The towers all show signs of a past due re...fresh. Our rooms ac did not dehumidify, but just blew cold air. This, the room had a musty smell. The water in the shower was totally unpredictable. Turn on the cold wide open and it was scalding hot, taking several minutes to cool off. Great location within walking distance to lots of shopping and dining. But wayyy past time for a refresh.
Great time other than my fall

We had a wonderful room and had a lovely gift basket upon arrival to celebrate our 55th anniversary. Everyone extremely nice . However on our 1st full day there , I slipped in the bathtub and had to go to ...the hospital ER . I had 2 broken ribs . The tub had strips in the middle of the tub . I told our housekeeper what happened and had a bath mat the next day . I am in my 70’s and my suggestion would be to have strips from front to back of tub or bath mats to prevent someone else from slipping like I did . Thanks so very much
