First time and not the last time.

First time visiting the big island and had the resort recommended to us by friends who have stayed before. Pros: Great location easy access to town , parking(albeit paid) but available , un paralleled view... from the bar/restaurant, rooms comfortable and clean, some of the fastest elevators I’ve experienced in a hotel. Front desk staff extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is small but clean with plenty of sun chairs and a few cabanas for rent with AMAZING sunset views. Prices at restaurant/bar are not outrageous as in some other resorts. Cons? : Be aware there is a Luau during the week that takes place in the main entrance area of the hotel. It goes until 930, but if you have a room on that side of the hotel the show is amazing.?? The resort amenities are not as bougie as other more modern resorts. But if you like things a little more old school this is the place. At the pool there are no servers but the bar and restaurant are very close. Overall a very nice intro to the Big Island and Kona will be back.
I just want to sit at the pool at night and look at the stars

I always have a great time. The staff is the greatest. The bartenders are the best. The food is great. The ocean view with the breeze blowing through the night with the sun going down. It’s the most beauti...ful site. I will always treasure my memories at the Royal kona resort.
