If you want your vacation to feel like a work trip, this place is for you. This hotel is not a “beach resort” - it’s a conference center. In case you glanced over that, let me repeat to emphasize - this is... NOT a beach resort, it is a conference center that happens to be on the beach. Unless you are traveling here for business, I’d avoid. Stay somewhere more expensive if you have to. This hotel is not couple friendly. It was built for conferences, or at least caters to them and their attendees. I was a little embarrassed to be a guest vacationing here. Felt out of place and unappreciated the entire time. Attending a conference? You’ll get a happy hour on an outdoor patio overlooking the ocean. Simply a guest? You’re not allowed out there. You can sit in the lobby bar and stare at a tarp blocking all of the construction. No outdoor views. More on that later. We walked across the pedestrian bridge to go to Publix - an employee had a police officer stop us and ask for our conference badges because there was an event over there. Insane. Some redeeming qualities - 1) Staff is generally nice. The spa staff & the servers (on the beach and at breakfast) were great. 2) Spa was 10/10. Quiet & relaxing. Sauna + steam room in locker room. 3) Gym has a good mix of equipment - cardio, weights, kettlebells, even a squat rack. Cafe has smoothies you can add protein to, as well. Now for the rest - #1 - construction is brutal. Most of the pool/ pool area is unusable. Jack hammers & saws. All. Day. Long. This alone is a reason to NOT book this hotel. If you’re interested, call and ask if the construction is finished. If not, you’ve been warned. The beach is better, but you can still hear most of the construction. It’s mentioned on the website, pretty far down, and downplays it as “occasional noise”. #2 - limited dining options. Came in on a Monday. There were no dining options outside of the lobby bar “bites”. Basically a menu of appetizers. Not many dining options in the neighborhood. We walked a mile or so to Juniper on the Water which was solid. After Monday, your only option is the steakhouse. More expensive than higher rated options in Hollywood. We wanted to find a “resort” that we didn’t have to leave at all. We had to leave for dinner most nights. #3 housekeeping & cleanliness - this sounds crazy, but I googled my room number when it was assigned. Someone in 2015 wrote a complaint about stains on their drapes. I figured after 10 years, there wouldn’t be an issue. Can’t comment on the stains, but when we entered our room, there was a previous guest’s bathing suit below the drapes. It wasn’t clean. If they’re missing large items like clothing, are they detail oriented elsewhere? We had doubts. After confirming late checkout face to face with the front desk, we were greeted by housekeeping walking into our room while we were getting ready for the day. They said they had no idea. TL/DR - I won’t vacation here again. If you want to stay here, call ahead and ask if there’s a conference or construction. If there’s either, consider other options.

No construction warning!

Glen g on Mar 19, 2025

I was told by Shawntria that the warning is buried in a link “new area” See screen shot, follow link to new area? She said it goes on from sunrise to sunset, did not respond when asked if that included wee...kends? $1300 per night for ocean front construction view and noise!
