We fell in love with the people of Huatulco. What a gorgeous state in Mexico and a beautiful part of our planet! The people are exceptional! They are wonderful, kind, joyful and I can't wait to go back.... However, it will not be at Secrets- and we are UVC members! This resort is in disrepair and not up to the Secrets brand name. We were so disappointed in the quality of this resort. From everything to the paint, the pool tiles, the decor...it's cracking, displaced, peeling and chipping, The smoking and vaping is everywhere and it's hard to get away from it because it's not in enforced areas. The bedsheets and towels are threadbare and some that we were given had holes in them. The cushions in all the restaurants are stained and gross. The ambiance is plain and decor is sparse. This resort needs a complete overhaul and fast because calling it a Secrets resort is a shame to the Secrets name. Shoutout again to the people who work there. They are absolutely exceptional in every way!

This resort is amazing. It wasn’t too busy and lots of room to relax in the pool. As our first resort experience, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to visit first. The pools were fantastic with exc...ellent service and atmosphere. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this place is so it doesn’t get too busy for when I come back.
