We stayed at this hotel from April 15 - 29th. There are many things we love about Secrets as this was our 8th to a Secrets resort. We have also gone once to Dreams. We like no bracelets as well not having to book restaurants in advance except the teppenyaki grill which we did twice. The resort is as many guests have said is dated but in saying that the rooms were clean and beds were made up well before noon every day. We have never had that kind of service and very much appreciated it. Also the staff are fantastic except maybe the swim up bar. Wilfredo is crabby even though we tipped and didn’t drink a lot. The rest of the cleaning staff was over the top fantastic. The restaurants and food were also in our opinion good. Some ppl think more variety is best however we feel that doesn’t necessarily mean good food. Apparently this time of the year humidity is bad. It was over 90% daily so that wasn’t great. The lobby was okay however being so humid you couldn’t get relief. We were in preferred so we could use the preferred lounge. I felt bad for the staff there as it was quite small and not really enough places to sit. This area does need to be attended to. Yes there are tiles missing in the pool but that didn’t affect my enjoyment one bit it was very clean. The pools are very large and there are more than enough chairs and towels for everyone. We never had an issue. I will say while we were there that the resort was under inspection so I’m sure they will be dealing with many of the issues that ppl have complained about. The resort is a ways out of town which we didn’t care for as we like to have a look around. We did go into town twice as cab rides are very cheap 80 pesos. We did do a “sip and savor” which allows guests to try the dreams resort from 6 pm - 11 pm. It was worth the trip as we dined in the Oceania restaurant and it was very good. I will say if you plan on going do try the hydrotherapy and spa. They are amazing!! The view from the pools was obstructed by brush. It would really be nice to see some of that cut down. We did go down to the beach but there was red flag and didn’t go in, however other ppl did. All in all we enjoyed our trip!

My wife and I were guests for a week, and had a great time! The location might be isolated for some, but it is just what we wanted. The resort is beautiful, very well situated, where all rooms have an ocean view. The room was nicely-appointed, and very comfortable, with a great view. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.
