Castaways - Best way to start your day at Secrets Resort in Huatulco . Breakfast is delicious - and original ! we tried all of the different restaurants , but Castaways is the most memorable. Not only are the breakfast dishes original but it also has a mesmerizing view of the bay !

This was our 2nd time visiting the resort and we were as impressed as we were the 1st. We love this resort and it has a very special place in our hearts. The people are warm, scenery breathtaking and overall vibe is just right. Some highlights: The location cannot be beat you really feel secluded and there are a minion new things to see each day. Our favorite views are from the sky bar at sunset. The rooms are my only critique. While impeccably clean (shout out to our main maid Katy), they show their age. Pretty plain furnishings, old shower floors and 0 privacy in the bathroom. However, my complaints are minor… we only are in the room to sleep so who really cares. The hotel itself is just right. Not too big but also not too small. What can I say though, adults only is the cherry on top. She is also showing her age in places but again, in that climate it is to be expected. The pools are great, beach access is easy and simple. The entertainment staff are to die for. The keep things fun and lively and are always trying to get the hungover guests to have even more fun. The restaurants are excellent. There is a rotating schedule of which ones will be open. We started every day at the Buffett and the staff were so sweet and kind. The cooks hustles while the host is smiling and the waiters keep coffee and mimosas going. This was the best way to start the day. My favorite resultant however is Spice. The host Itai is so sweet and friendly. The waiters Justin and Julian treated us like friends and were excellent and the sweetest person was Ivonne the Manager. We celebrated our anniversary one night and she treated us like royalty. I adore her!
