Great time and an absolutely special shout out to Blanca Tona and Saul Lucas. They made the trip memorable for us and our twin 2 year olds. Zorro ?? can’t stop talking about “Blaaaaaanca” and his Lizard. They went above and beyond for us to make our experience fun for us and our kids!

White glove service with family warmth feel.

sybil t on Sep 25, 2024

Here for a conference with over 200 people and we all felt individually felt like we were the only ones there. The staff was beyond attentive, welcoming and professional. We had everything we needed before we had to ask. I would like to mention a few exceptional staff members, Jose at the pool/beach is a true asset to the team and remembered me by name. Luis Chef and their team of Leonardo, Francisca & Rodrigo in La Luce made a fabulous meal and drinks a memorable experience for us. I highly recommend for business and pleasure. I have never experienced this level of superior service at a Hilton. Well done team. Muchas Gracias.

Great weekend getaway at Hilton

TLC404 (Los Angeles, California) on Sep 23, 2024

First time staying at the Hilton Vallarta and I pleasantly enjoyed my stay, Formerly the Grand Fiesta, I could tell the hotel is still transitioning, but overall I would still recommend. The rooms were clean, and the front desk addressed all concerns within a reasonable time. The restaurants had vegetarian options and the service was great. For Vela, the food hall, Norma and Medardo took care of us every time. Their bright smiles and professionalism were top notch. The lobby bartender Antonio was friendly and accommodating. At the Martini lounge Arashi made the best Coconut Margaritas and we became addicted. At Cocomar, Hugo was delightful and friendly. The only suggestion would be to more consistent with restaurants hours of operation. We came to Vela on Sunday for dinner at 7:30 pm and there closed. We wanted to try Sunan the sushi restaurant, but they were always closed. Due to the weather, we didnt get alot of pool time. Although the resort is family friendly, thankfully there were not alot of kids on this visit

Great Staff

Giovanna K on Sep 23, 2024

The hotel staff is truly exceptional, from Antonio at the lobby bar to Medardo and Norma in the buffet, and Arashi in the martini lounge, along with the gentleman at the Italian restaurant. Each of them were incredibly kind and helpful, making our stay more enjoyable. However, I did encounter a significant issue. The hotel should have informed guests in advance that only three restaurants would be available when the large DMK group arrived. This led us to seek dining options in town, which was disappointing. Closing the buffet for a large group sends a message that the needs of regular guests are secondary, which is why I would hesitate to return. Additionally, the hours posted on the restaurant doors were inconsistent. We found that many places were closed despite their stated hours, causing further frustration. Once again, while the staff is outstanding, it is crucial for management to ensure that all guests, whether part of a large party or not, feel valued and respected during their stay.!

A solid vacation but not luxurious

Tom M (Arlington, Virginia) on Sep 21, 2024

I would start by saying that mostly the stay was as expected. My overall experience is influenced greatly by the fact that I paid an excessive upgrade fee to the Enclave promises of luxury that were never fulfilled. The “Enclave” upgrade guide that my concierge sent me describes nightly turndown service (never happened), and upgraded mini bar (which based on what we observed in comparison to our friend’s regular room mini bar appears to be two splits of wine - nothing more), and exclusive in room amenities (again, we observed nothing different than our friends base room accommodations). The mini bar consisted of A Coke, A Diet Coke, A beer - yes, one of each. Extras cost extra. I asked to have all diet beverages and remove the regular beverages, and even this seemed like a challenge. Overall, this was a HUGE disappointment and affects my overall impression of the property and my stay. The room was nice - nothing particularly fancy, but clean and comfortable. What I would call a “standard” Hilton room. King bed, sofa, Nespresso machine, The spa experience was a mixed bag. The quality of the massage service was superior. Absolutely fantastic. However, the environment was more than disappointing with moldy ceilings, dust buildup, and an overall feel of neglect. There were several places where there was obvious repair in progress - holes and fresh plasterboard - but beyond this it was in disrepair. The food and beverage quality were good. Here’s a little breakdown: Mojito Bar - our favorite. Victor and Chuy took care of us nightly and provided superior service. They were more than just “friendly.” By the end of our trip we felt that they were friends. Both took pride in their work and seemed to be genuinely happy to provide exemplary service. I’d go back just to see these guys. Cocomar was far and away the best meal - the fish was fresh, aguachile AMAZING, fried fish/shrimp cooked perfectly. The steakhouse was minimally enjoyable. While the food was good, the service was horrible. We felt unwelcome, rushed. The server never bothered to remove appetizer plates before delivering our food, leaving us to clear things away. We didn’t offer drinks, never checked back to ensure everything was ok, and was visibly frustrated when we asked for a dessert menu. He did not want to be there, and we were clearly preventing him from going home. He brought one dessert menu for the four of us to share. You think about steakhouse and it seems this would be the place where you put your best servers - this is not the experience we had though. The pool team - all of them - were friendly and efficient. On the last day of our stay there was a buffet outside where they grilled carne asada, chicken, pork, chorizo, and various accompaniments. This was tasty and fresh. Other times they brought shrimp skewers, ice cream, and taco carts. The beverages were tasty (though inconsistent - they don’t use standard recipes). I don’t know how they work around all the bees - I was scared to death to go to the bar and frequently just waited for one of the many servers to bring me a drink. The breakfast buffet had THE BEST service. Everyone worked as a team to ensure my coffee cup and water were always full, whenever I went back to the buffet my plate was cleared before I returned, the food was plentiful, and the omelet guy was so friendly and efficient. If you’re considering a visit to this property, I’d recommend you give it a try. Would I go back? Yes, absolutely. Would I ever pay for the Enclave upgrade again? ABSOLUTELY NOT.
