We chose this hotel because we stayed at the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana and LOVED it. This was not the same experience. The PROS: the staff is lovely and the beach is beautiful. The hotel is kept clean and looks well kept overall. The CONS: DO NOT UPGRADE TO CLUB, we did because we did this for the DR and it was WORTH IT, here in Cancun you get absolutely ZERO perks, and I mean none at all, there is a “club lounge with buffet and bar” yet there are no wrist bands or ID card to get in, I listening and watched people the entire trip from alllllll of the rooms NONCLUB guests come and go and eat and drink , was really anyone could use this. And that’s THE ONLY “perk” they offered with club. In the DR we had a club pool, club restaurants, and lounge. We did not even receive a welcome drink here. When we asked for cranberry juice from room service, (which is served at every bar a restaurant) we were told they don’t have that. We asked for different flavor juice boxes in mini fridge, never given. And to top it off we were roomed next to a crying baby and NOBODY got any sleep the whole trip. There are babies and toddlers everywhere making it impossible to find a place to just have peace. On the beach you can’t move the chairs so your packed in tight and again babies crying right next to you. Then there is a local kids soccer team that practices right in front lounge chairs on beach. Whistles blowing and more kids screaming. The staff and the beach are only things I would say make this worth coming too. But overall definitely not 5 star and not worth the money especially the Club upgrade.

Perfect environment,beach, view and location, good food,service, and kids club. The beach is a big advantage, The hotel is old but it's clean so it's not a big problem. It's very friendly for 3-8 kids , my son love the kids club. BUT some room is noisy, it's fatal…

Fun hotel. Stayed in Dolphin room which is fun with kids. Decent food. Friendly staff. Cleanliness and upkeep were lacking. We experienced an outage of water while there so could not flush toilets and only had super hot water for hours with no notice from hotel, which is unsafe with a child. Arranging transportation is a pain as staff are generally confused and provide incorrect information every step of the way. Arrange transport in advance both ways and confirm, confirm, confirm, then find a backup.

Very happy with our stay, the kids club are awesome for the 5 year old! And the manager of the Italian restaurant is superb! The SPA experience is great (Vanessa is very skilled! highly recommend her). The mirror in the bathroom of the hotel room needs update (its an old mirror with black spots here and there). Dolphin is the plus!!!

This place is great. Went with my wife and 10 month old son, the resort was perfect for our family. As kids get older, it gets even better because they have a Kids Club and activities throughout the day every day where kids can be active, learn things, etc. Even with a baby, they made it very easy to relax and enjoy. It's clean, the food is good, the staff is awesome - I highly recommend!
