Well we definitely struck gold at Ziva! I will try not to repeat what others have said but give a short summary. Overall hotel grounds, pool and beach - outstanding. Immaculately maintained and beautiful. So easy on the eye. I loved the fact there are now many loungers and palapas on the beach - which I believe is a recent change. 10/10 Staff - the best we have ever met. It’s clear that the staff are happy in their jobs and without exception spoke well of the managers and working conditions. This is reflected in fantastic service everywhere. Of particular note in our stay were Eddie and Yodrian (entertainment team), Esperanza, Alexis and Pablo (beach waiters), Noel (Chevys), Antonio (Tradewinds) Marco (La Bastille), Danny (buffet) Benjamin (luggage) and Marissa (club). Each of these people went over and above in some way to enhance our stay. However it’s important not to forget the unseen workers without whom the hotel would not run so smoothly nor be so clean. 10/10 Cabanas - we had pier cabana which was the highlight of our stay. We felt like royalty. It’s quite pricey but if you are going I strongly urge you consider it - amazing and worth every penny . We also had cabana 18 on the beach. We enjoyed this but for me it wasn’t shaded enough - the sun came through the slats and I ended up hanging towels over it. Loved the service and amenities of it though. 10/10 for pier 8/10 for cabana 18 Rooms - we chose club. For our family this was perfect. We loved the air conditioned reception and the drinks fridge. The room itself if I am completely honest lacked the wow factor of the rest of the hotel but it was pleasant and functional. We did look at a turquoise room during our stay which 100% has the wow factor. I would book this for a couples stay but for our family (even with kids aged 23 and 20), club was perfect. Club room 9/10 based on overall package. Restaurants - we loved the variety and the options. High quality food. Occasional longer wait times. Loved the daytime food options round the pool and the coffee shop. Overall 10:10 Entertainment- daytime great variety 10/10 nighttime we would have preferred an indoor air conditioned area 8/10 Fitness - my daughter attended the gym, Pilates and yoga scored 10/10 Excursions - separate reviews on here for Chichén Itzá with the amazing Travicons and Whale sharks with underwater Mexico. Also did snorkelling and jet skis with Epic Water sports. 10/10 Hygiene - I just wanted to mention the high standards held here. I was anxious one of us at least would get sick. I need not have worried. Not one of us got sick and we ate and drank everything. Overall verdict - loved by all of us. Incredible vacation which ticked all the boxes. If you are visiting you will have an amazing time. Hyatt Ziva - thank you to each and every one of you for making our holiday so memorable: Simply the best.

This facility is ok but it’s not worth the money the food is not great, the service is very slow, and the liquor is watered down. The one thing that i can say that is positive the people that work there are very nice and truly helpful, at least they try. The question to ask would i go back there? NO I would not!

The property and staff at Hyatt Ziva was amazing. We really enjoyed Pablo and the wine program. However when nearly all members of our group became ill there is a problem. Hotel management was great and accommodating but we were very disappointed with a vacation in which we were all sick at some point.

Had a great time at this hotel, it was very low key and calm, and the restaurants were very nice and tasty. The staff were exceptional, constantly interacting with residents and promoting a good time, especially Nelson and Elvin, who truly made my trip a blast. I highly recommend trying all of the restaurants and taking some time to visit the water park. Will visit again!

Miguel's received us with a wonderful smile which showed us how much he cared about us. You can't beat not only the service but all the food, drinks desserts. The whole experience was a dream come true along with the whole wedding experience. Rate 10 out of 10!!!
