4th visit was a success!

This was our 4th time to Zilara - Cancun and it was just as wonderful as it was 2 years ago! As always, the pool concierge team went above and beyond! Ivan, David and Sebastian took care of everything for our cabanas! They checked on us multiple times throughout each day! It was good to see their friendly faces!! Daniella was our pool server one of the days and she was very attentive and was always smiling! She had just started when we were there a couple years ago so it was good to see her friendly face as well! I had one of the BEST massages with Patricia at Zen Spa. She worked her magic! She will definitely be my go-to when we come back for our 5th visit! I didn't take advantage of the hydrotherapy this trip as I wanted to soak in as much sunshine as I could! The Mexican night and White Sensation parties were fantastic, and the entertainment team did a great job! He food was absolutely wonderful during these events and they had something for everyone. After the shows, we enjoyed craft cocktails at the Den! Kiwi Sapphire and Orange Basil Martini were my favorites! Eduardo and Jose in the cafe were also a treat! Great service with a smile every time! And last but not least, Ivan at Time Out!! We enjoy seeing him when we visit and he never let us have an empty glass!! Overall, it was another wonderful trip with spectacular service and fantastic food!! Trip #5 is coming up soon!

Don’t book now….maybe after renovations?

We are here now. The view from the room is absolutely gorgeous and the staff at the spa, restaurants, bars, beach and pool are all incredible. I would not recommend booking here now though. My 19 year old daughter was trapped in the elevator yesterday by herself for about 5 minutes with no lights or power and it was terrifying. We have had to go up and down the stairs multiple times to and from the 8th floor over the last couple days because the power was out for many hours. We expressed frustration about this and were just told that ‘they are remodeling soon’. We tried to book mixology classes through the concierge with their WhatsApp Concierge just to be told to walk down 8 flights of stairs again and book it at the Den ourselves. We also had no hot water this afternoon and were told maintenance would come, but they never did so we had to go down to dinner with no showers. We have stayed at Hyatt Ziva 4 times as a family and my husband and I have stayed at Excellence PM 8 times since 2018 and we’ve never had issues like these. We will write a full review when we leave, but I wanted to give this info right away to anyone considering booking
