First Time at Sun Palace

First time to visit Sun Palace. We are members of Palace, Hard Rock and Unico. Sun Palace is a boutique type of resort and couples only. The reason we came in July was so husband could swim with the whale sharks (they migrate through at this time of year). He had a great time and saw a dozen of them up close and personal. The hotel is nice, pools good, beach... not so much. Did not realize it had huge rocks. But if you walk down about 2-3 minutes you will have nice sandy non-rocky beach to play in and large shells! The stairs that lead to the beach are scary and need repair badly! As a matter of fact as we were floating in the pool with a drink we saw people looking it over so hopefully it will get fixed soon. Everyday we looked forward to visiting the Sweet and Coffee shop. The staff (Gabriel, Alexis, Valeria, Yzui, Eliseo) always had a smile on their faces and made us feel special! Danielle and Brissa at the Aura buffet were great! Brissa saw my daughter had on a Taylor Swift Era Tour t-shirt and she gave her a friendship bracelet! LOL! We took a tour with the Mayan Express/Coba Sunset tours to swim in the cenotes and snorkeling with turtles at Akamai beach with Andres. He was funny, informative, most helpful and went above and beyond getting my daughter's friends pants back after being stolen! Way to go Andres! The live music at the Italian restaurant was very nice. Enjoyed our time at Sun Palace!

Sun Palace staff is great. The hotel was renovated, and it is amazing. The rooms are very comfortable, and the ocean view is breathless. The food is incredible, the Thai restaurant and the Italian are the best. The spa is great, and the three infinite pools are awesome!!! If you want to have a great time without the craziness of the kids running around and screaming, this is the place. I love kids, I have three but sometimes you want to be alone with your partner and spend quality time with your partner.
