Family Time with Aloha
Tony E on Jan 03, 2025
We have been blessed to be able to take our family and grand kids to AKS multiple times and will always choose AKS for our trips back to the island that means so much to us. The grandsons enjoy the pools ...and property so much. Thank you to our AKS Ohana for your Aloha and memories.
Outdated and needs better cleaning

Currently staying at the hotel in a 2 bedroom and it is really outdated, needs better cleaning. As soon as we checked in my son went to the bathroom and saw a roach and then later I saw a dead insect in th...e pantry. The furnishings are old and felt like a cheap motel room. Only upside are the pools and the front desk. I was pleasantly surprised to find them heated which was really nice with the Jan breeze. Staff at front desk and checkin were also very nice
Great family or couples option

Stayed in a nice studio. The company said "partial view" but I cannot complain. If I looked straight ahead on the balcony, could see the waves break. Good view of of Lanai and then to the right was water a...nd beaches so the view was great. My room was 736. The only thing I would change is their numbering as VERY confusing with odd numbers one way and even the other. The grounds are nice and the cafe on the grounds is solid (like their fries and I am not a fries person). One thing to REALLY note is the pictures make is seem there is a good amount of beach. This is NOT the case so be prepared. It is just mother nature.
Great for families

Front desk staff were friendly and text us when our room was ready early for check-in. Two heated pools and hot tubs with easy access to the beach. Restaurants, food truck court and grocery store are liter...ally across the street. Very walkable. Would stay here again.
Beautiful location and views, family friendly.

This property is in an excellent location right on Kaanapali Beach. While our original two-bedroom unit was small, it included a full kitchen. However, the rooms could use updates. For our stay, we ini...tially rented a two-bedroom unit but found it too small for four adults and two small children. We decided to upgrade to the Aloha Suite, which was larger and oceanfront. The lanai was a highlight of the suite, offering stunning ocean views from a high floor. While the unit was dated and had minor plumbing issues, the view and location made it a memorable stay. They really need to do a deep dive cleaning in the unit we stayed in. The walls, cabinets and floors really need a deep cleaning. I also want to mention the hot tubs and pools seem to need better maintenance as the water looked murky and were down a few days of our stay. We ate at the restaurant three times and found the food to be mediocre at best. Best to look for other options in the area. This property is a good choice for families seeking a beachfront stay with convenient access to the area. We found most of the people working there to be very nice. I would stay in that area again.
