Positive: Great location! Close to restaurants and supermarket. The garden view is amazing with the amazing plants and the ocean in the background. The beach is small but tranquil and quite. Negative: The carpet and sofa in the room need to be replaced. Rooms are not cleaned during our stayed and fresh towels need to be requested. Guests need to take care of trash and put it in a "trash room".

Stayed in the Penthouse suite room 902. 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, family of 5 with plenty of space to spare! Beautiful view of the ocean directly below our room. The room itself was clean, hotel grounds are well maintained! This is the perfect place for a family to relax, outside of the main busy area of the island! It is not overcrowded. This hotel is not a fancy upscale if that is what you're looking for. The decor and couches are older, but that doesn't matter; that is not what makes your time here great! Would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again! Beach access is easy with plenty of sandy beach, two nice pools and hot tubs with a restaurant and bar next to one pool. Beach towel service daily with rentals available for snorkeling or boogy boards onsite! Nothing to complain about here!

Workers were rude and didn’t want to help period, lai greeting was a cheap shell necklace. Waterfalls were broken, allowed kids in both hot tubs. No wait staff or staff to bring you drinks or food. Not much of vacation to be very honest!Have to take your own trash out and there is NO housekeeping unless you wanna pay extra also the gym so set up the same and you have to pay for parking- Don’t recommend!

3/5 Service isn't where it used to be. Cabanas poolside need to be replaced (none have covers). Location is great. Pools are nice. Poolside service should come back as lines at bar are long and only one bartender. Store/spa/salon hours should be consistent and staff onsite. Hotel staff are friendly.

I spent 4 days in Maui vacationing solo, staying at the Kaanapali Shores. The facility was well maintained and clean. Quite a few little eateries nearby, which I worked to patronize in light of the fire in nearby Lahaina. If all you want to do is hang out at the beach, go to a lu?au, relax, etc., it is great. I wanted to see history and non-touristy things, some of which was on the east side of Maui--the Pali highway is the only reasonable way off the west side where the hotel is and it could be busy, and ended up being a long S-shaped path. I was okay with it, but some people might find it irritating if they want to do a lot in the Kahului area or east.
