I want to give a special thanks to Eli at the concierge desk. I was having some difficulty with cabana rentals and the recreation desk was unable to help. The online page was not working either. I went over to the concierge desk and Eli said not to worry, he would help me. He made some calls and it all worked out beautifully! Thank you, Eli!

We had a great stay at the Westin Nanea on Maui. We had a 2 bedroom villa for our family of 4. As our family includes 2 kids who don’t like to share a bed — one 20 and another 17 — and we like keeping the family room open for tv watching and early morning coffee drinking and the like, we ended up getting a rollaway bed for our 17 year old. We set the rollaway up in our second bedroom. It was very comfy but also relatively small. Our 17 year old who is about 5’5” fit just fine but it also agreed it wouldn’t have been a great answer for someone who is 6’0”. As for the resort itself, the beach team and the pool were great. There were the regular issues with people saving chairs and the like, but the resort did its best to police the chair squatters. The shade canopies above the pool recliners were a really nice touch and allowed the shade dwellers in our group to enjoy the pool without overdosing on the sun. We also spent several days on the beach, reserving cabanas one day and chairs and umbrellas another day. That process worked well and made the beach a fun option — especially given the great sandy beach and the snorkeling right off shore. Finally, the pool bar offered good drinks and a good assortment of options for lunch. The Westin staff was top notch. All of our interactions, be it with the front desk staff, the food and beverage team, house keeping, valets, and the concierge, were great. Our requests while not numerous were always answered quickly and sufficiently. We were there for 10 days and had requests to restock numerous items after the first week. They helped us out without issue. In conclusion, we would definitely return to this resort. We are owners with both MVC and Vistana and have been to KOR as well as the Maui Ocean Club villas with MVC numerous times. None are bad options, but the Nanea is now at the top of the list.
