We loved staying here. It was perfect for our family. The pool and the beach were amazing. The room was just perfect and even came stocked with dishes so we could eat in the room if needed.

It's an outdated property. I would say it's not a place to stay with your family for a vacation. We arrived early around 12, and got to know 3 PM is check-in (quite strange). They did not allow me for early check-in. That's okay. I told the front staff please do call me as soon as ready until then we will be around here for shopping and etc., But she never called me even after 3 PM. Secondly, as soon as we enter room it was all water on the floor. We called the reception, lady has come with towels, cleaned the floor and gave extra towels to use it if the fridge is leaking again (Seriously !!) . Opened micro oven, very strong garlic smell. Patio tables/chairs are dirty, the curtains are soaked in dirt and all the furniture & bed are ancient. The table light was not working. I’m certain you can see all that if you happen to stay here. I don’t think they have any attitude to fix all these! Coming from an excellent hotel stay in Waikiki, it's quite a shock for us after experiencing all these. And just one swimming pool and very small one. Too many people at pool can't swim or even move. My daughter even don’t want to step in by looking at the atmosphere. We left pool in few mins. We lowered our expectation and decided to avoid being in room and just come late to sleep. They charged me extra $69 for resort fee. Man it was stupid mistake I made to choose this place and ruined my family experience and expectations. Shopping and dinning options are nearby, that's only plus!

Stayed at the Aston Islander 4 times. This is our last. Like many have written, beds are terrible, pillows are like Super 8 hotel quality LOL. Room had dirt on the floor, old furnishing and time for Renovation Aston Islander. The hot tub and pool are old and small for hotel of this size. Right next door on both sides are much better hotels we will explore when extending our week stay via timeshare sway. We like 10-14 days on Kauai. One thing that worked, Miss Peggy came through and got us in Kauai blvd on 3rd floor facing ocean. See ya Islander - off our list…

Great stay, great value, lots of nearby conveniences for shopping, food and essentials, great location. Rooms and staff were great.

The pool and hot tub are a joke for that size of a hotel and number of guests. The rooms are outdated and beds uncomfortable. The beach is not a safe beach to swim, especially for young children. This was a Costco recommendation so I expected a lot better, but very disappointed and will not come back.
