Firstly a resort fee was sprung on us. It's not a resort!. Then no hot water (even warm). At 5am the desk alarm went off and I couldn't shut it up. Not the worst but worth a 1 star for sure! Stay away if y...ou take long flights and there are hotels out there that want your business.

We had a night layover in LA after an 11 hour flight from New Zealand. All we wanted was a clean, comfortable room with good reviews, a pool(we knew we would not have had sleep and all we wanted to do was... lay at the pool) and a shuttle. We booked this hotel as we read the reviews and it said that the renovations were completed. Check in, nothing said. Have a shower and change into bathing suits, down to the front desk to find out where the pool is. Ask and are told that it is closed for renovations. What?? Was offered 30 dollars off! They said it was on the website but someone took it down and now they are asking for it to be put back on the website again because of the complaints. We cancelled and went to another hotel. Other guests complained that it was not the only thing closed. We don't know as we left! Do not go here unless you verify what amenities are available.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Sonesta LAX. It is undergoing some renovations. The room was spacious, comfortable, and modern. In addition, it is the most cost effective location close to th...e airport (and rental car return). Very comfortable beds and very clean.

lovely place to stay while waiting to fly out of LAX in the morning. food at taps delicious. bartender Miguel awesome- friendly knowledgeable and a good bartender. staff friendly and helpful. nice room ...great shower. we will stay there again.
