Overall just average All inclusive hotel, too expensive for the food and beverages provided. Selection of foods and drinks poor, speciality restaurants with poor selections, only standard house wine, you ...want something better, you have to pay, all inklusive restaurants had up charges on many items… Facilty great. Beach great. Breakfast buffet great.
Not good for the families

I Do Not recommend this hotel for the families. Half of the rooms are located at the side of entertainment that runs till 11pm EST and it’s so loud you can’t fall asleep in the room. It’s hard to enjoy the... stay when everyone is sleep deprived and cranky (my kids get up early even if they go to bed late). We asked to change the room to the quiet side but were pushed back for 3 days when finally they told us the room is available to switch but never came through with it - the service was horrible. They were giving us wrong information and made us wait for nothing each of the days. Kids activities at the hotel are very limited and Kidz club is a joke. My kid went to the bracelet making activity that involved making one little bracelet the way they wanted him to make. He couldn’t use different beads, just the ones they gave him. What a joke for 5 minutes of activity! Nightly entertainment on family side is boring most of the nights. While the entertainers are professionals and have great skills, their shows are boring for the kids and adults. Magic show was a hit for a large crowd and we enjoyed it. Most of the other shows don’t have more than 20-30 people in the audience or people are leaving in the middle of it. Room service is not the best. They would forget to give us a bed sheet for kids bed every other day so we had to call to get it. One day we didn’t get any towels at all. And on top of it, they took away my neti pot that I have to have for my sinuses. When we called the reception, they did nothing to look for it. Luckily we ended up finding it in the hallway with other people’s dirty dishes. And one day we had a lizard in our room so we had to get them to take it away!!!! The balcony door was so hard to close so that only my husband could do it. I ended up slamming my finger with this door and it hurt for the whole trip. Of course, I didn’t report it given this Do Not Care attitude of the staff. The food was great though and we had a great experience with the chefs accommodating our allergies. Special thank you for Sandie at the buffet who cooked special meals for us for breakfast and lunch every single day. She was very kind and very attentive and the food was great! Michael at the seafood station at lunch cooked the best meals! Chef Roxanne at the Italian restaurant made an amazing allergy friendly meal for us! And chef Chris at the French restaurant made an amazing meal too - we had to return there for more!!!! Overall, the service is not great, not much to do for the kids but the food and the beach are great. I wouldn’t spend the money on this property and go to another Hyatt Ziva location that are so much better than this one!!!!!
