Unique and Beautiful Property in the Bahamas

beachbumsny (Haverstraw, NY) on May 11, 2025

Atlantis Resort is a beautiful, unique place. It is so fun to see all the marine animals throughout the property - sea turtles, stingrays, sharks, fish, and more. The large aquarium called "The Dig" is fu...n to walk through. Pools are plentiful. The ocean is a beautiful turquoise blue color, warm, and calm, with free beach chairs. If you're lucky enough to get a high floor with ocean view in the Royal Tower, the views are amazing. Rooms have all been updated and are nice. Restaurants are pricey but there are good choices. The casino is on the small side, but big enough to enjoy, with a good variety of games. We will definitely return to Paradise!

Nice place but hold on to your wallet.

The place is uniquely beautiful but they rip you off for everything. Upon check in, they don't give you the view or room reserved. After wasting my time for 4 hours, I finally paid off a manger $150, who... somewhat took care of my problem by giving me the view requested, but I had to settle for a room with 2 queens instead of a king sized bed. The TV was a problem, and the toilet kept running because the flapper was deteriorated. They fixed both after a few phone calls. They don't give you water everyday in the room. Instead, they give you a refillable bottle and have refill stations. They say the water is filtered, maybe it is, but it smells like sulphur, rotten eggs, I couldn't drink it. They sell cans of water for $8, and give you a hard time about getting them for free in the casino. My wife while playing a slot machine put a can in her bag to bring up to the room, and they actually called her out for it, they eye inn the sky is watching - it's unreal but true. I'm not a cheap person and don't mind spending for good food. Food cost is worst than Disney. The deli, and pizzeria are the best value but still expensive. I spent over $200 for 2 people at Cafe Martinique and left still hungary, the total didn't include an apps or salad, entre' only. After 3 days, it becomes principle and many people start walking across the street to a local market to buy water and food items. If you want to visit Atlantis Bahamas, do it on a cruise, and don't get ripped off.
