What a wonderful place ! Great value resort. Lovely pools, lovely room and super comfy bed. Food hall and shake shack open really late. Friendly staff. I honestly cannot fault it. Would recommend it hi...ghly if you're going to the parks.great transport.

Read this before you stay. May 2025. We always stay at Dockside but thought we would pay extra to stay at Cabana Bay. This place is a dump. We paid extra for a family suite. It’s a dump. Landlord paint spe...cial. Furniture is torn and colored on with marker. Blankets were dirty. Tried to order pizza after hours and it was a nightmare. I’m scared to eat it honestly. Everything is old. Ordered ribs by the pool and DONT DO IT. High priced and they were crazy dry, black and burned to crap. Think back to that one hotel stay you’ve had in the past that you would NEVER go back to and how dumpy it was… welcome to Cabana Bay. This place is total garbage and should be leveled into a parking lot. I cannot believe they charge more than dockside and surfside for this. Those value hotels compared to this dump are superior. You might read this and think, oh this is just one persons opinion, but we travel a lot and what a dump this place is. Not to mention as I’m reading this I got charged 10.00 more than the advertised price of 15.00 per pizza. We ordered 2 and just got charged 40.00. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP and a scam. Universal should be ashamed to be affiliated with this place. Disney will bring you a full 16 inch pizza for 20ish dollars. (2) 10 inch pizzas from this dump for 40.00…. Unreal. So upset. Such a terrible hotel to bring your family. DONT DO IT! We can’t even close our fridge because the counter is warped and the fridge door hits the wood framing around it.

My boyfriend & I had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at Cabana Bay! The resort was so much fun & there were so many things to do. It’s in a great location just steps away from volcano bay and ...city walk at a great price. A special shout out to Jayme at The Hideaway Bar and Lakayla at the front desk. They made our stay so special! Highly recommend.

Check in was a whirlwind- think airport terminal meets theme park entry. Busy, loud and packed with people, but impressively efficient. Line moved fast, grab the map you will need it, assuming you’re bette...r at map reading than I am!! Pro tip, grab a luggage cart, they are everywhere and helpful if your room is in one of the far flung buildings that has its own post code. Room was spacious with a fantastic view of volcano bay. Bonus for catching Disney fireworks in the distance and watching a storm roll in. Cafeteria was fantastic, best visit slightly outside peak. Always a line up for coffee at star bucks, it’s worth it. Moves fast so you will be caffeinated before your patience runs out. Pool area was a hit. After a long day at universal floating around the lazy river was the closest thing to a day spa without actually booking a day spa. Getting to universal was an easy, short walk. The hotel itself bright, quirky and full of personality. Definitely already planning how to work in another side trip when we visit the US again.

We stayed here from Mon 21st - Tues 29th April. We stayed on the 9th floor of the Beach side tower with a fabulous view of the pool, fairy lights and hot tub. Our room was comfortable, well equipped and cl...ean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate a few times at the Bayliner diner for convenience which was reasonably priced. We had a few issues with the drinks refills not tasting quite right but this was soon resolved. The buses to the parks were clean and regular. We enjoyed a delicious milk shake from The Malt Shack and we had a lovely couple of dips in the pools. We loved being so close to and having early access to volcano bay, this and early entry to Universal IOA were great perks. Thank you volcano bay. Missing you already! ??
