Active Advisories
Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows Must Stay Here Again
davidbyob (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) on Mar 19, 2025
Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows was a pleasure to visit. I travel for work and pleasure and have been to the area just about every year for the past 8 years all around February and March. I stay where ...work directs me and on personnel visits where I choose, March 2025 at the Andaz, was personnel. Online check in notified me that the room was not ready, rather than stay at an airport lounge, which I did stop at for ½ an hour, I ventured to the hotel about 2 hours before allowable check in. Anastasia at check in was helpful and secured my room within maybe 5 minutes of arrival and also magically providing a glass of wine while I waited. I am a globalist, which was recognized and I was reminded of the included breakfast. You are supposed to get an upgraded room if available, unsure if that occurred. My wife who arrived later than myself informed me we booked a wellness suite, which was sweet. Two rooms, two patios, two bathrooms, overall a really nice set up. I would want that room again. Daily turn down service with chocolate, was a nice touch. As was lowering the blinds. I just came off a visit to Jamacia staying at a Hyatt and another resort, service was better here, go figure Everyone was on their game from check in, to pool (Mo), to restaurant, to housekeeping. A coffee spill on the provided bathrobe with a note for a fresh robe was fulfilled. In short the entire team here was the A team, helpful and on their game. A very nice and well-maintained property, well equipped gym, several pools, fire pits and various activities. Very well located for a bike ride to explore the area (Echo canyon) or along the water way. Walking distance to restaurants. I did find out rather late that they have a shuttle to take you off site within a short radius, that was not conveyed to me. It’s a nice touch. Free coffee starting at 6:30 am in lobby area. Live music for brunch and dining one evening. If you want a relaxing property that checks off all the common amenities (pool, bar, gym, outdoor gathering areas, spa, not in the middle of nowhere), this is the place to try.
Not worth the cost…

For $1k/night, one would expect an immaculate resort. There always seemed to be glassware lying around. No one ever seemed to pick up around the pool whether it was glassware or towels. AC didn’t function... in the unit and got some lame excuse about a “software update”. All in all, just felt like a sloppy experience.
