Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

Warm, friendly service that went above and beyond to make it a great stay. We ate breakfast every day on the property and it was amazing (love that they serve "breakfast" until 1:30pm) and even changed our reservations so we could have dinner there one night, which was delicious! The pool area was beautiful and not over crowded, with great/attentive service! Our room was clean and comfortable for two. We also enjoyed having a patio with seating area where we enjoyed coffee in the morning and some wine and snacks before dinner. We used the fitness center, which had plenty of treadmills (never had to wait) and other equipment to get a great workout. Beautiful views of Camelback from the fitness center and property in general. Location is VERY close to Old Town (5 mins by car or 40 min walk, which we did one afternoon!), but feels like you are in an oasis when on the property.

Well...this hotel is no longer a five star hotel. It's looking in need of a refresh. The front desk always asks if we've stayed at their hotel before. We've stayed there a ton of times. Why doesn't the computer program tell them we've already stayed there and that way they can just say "Welcome back." A little thing, but annoying, nonetheless. The faucet in the bathroom was loose and the cold handle did not work. The shower head sprayed water onto the ceiling. The carpet needed cleaning, especially in front of the Tonal (in the wellness suite). The grout in the bathroom needs to be cleaned and then they need to use a grout colorant and sealer on it. I asked the front desk to replenish the waters in our mini fridge several times. Never happened. The pool in the morning was dirty with towels and used glasses. I love this hotel for it's landscape and the layout is quite nice. It's nice to not have to use an elevator and all the rooms are on the ground level. I love that aspect! I also like the restaurant menu items. They are fantastic. And Jonah, a server at the restaurant, is fabulous! What a nice, young man. However, if they want to keep their five star rating, they are going to need to do some maintenance.
