AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND FRIEDNLY STAFF/LOCALS

Just recently went over there with my family April 11th 2025 - April 19th 2025 , the staff and locals are amazing there ! The people of Dominican Republic are very friendly. There were many tourist from Ca...nada especially Quebec in which I made a lot of friends who made the trip a UNIQUE EXPERIENCE. One person I would like to shout out who made trip wonderful is ALFRI SANCHEZ. He was not only kind to me , he was kind to my family and everyone else that was around him . Definitely made the trip a lot more fun ! Would love to come again soon

The resort was cheap which should have been a red flag! Went for a family vacation with 4 of us and the beds in the room were double beds so we requested a cot because you cannot sleep 2 adults and 1 child... and 1 teen in 2 double beds. The cot was so work out in the middle my son’s back hurt the entire week we were there. I got food poisoning on day 2 and was up all night throwing up and diarrhea. On night 4 my son got food poisoning as well with the same symptoms. The buffet food is pretty much the same every day and some items tasted stale and did not look fresh. The nightly entertainment was horrible if it even happened. They also allow people from cruise ships, locals etc to come into the resort on day passes to use the pool and access the beach. The only good part of our trip was the 2 excursions we went on off the resort. Bottled water was also limited on the resort for 4 of us we were given a 1.5 litre bottle every 2 days unless we requested more and when we did it was an issue with them giving it to us. I would never return to this resort and would highly recommend that you choose another resort in puerto plata.
