Caesar is the man
Liam B on May 31, 2025
We paid for the premium package and in comparison of this from the common rabble bars/service the premium is definitely worth it… Caesar had the most above and beyond customer service from the moment me an...d my partner arrived and we cherished every moment, thank you!

Cesar the best premium lounge bartender/host has made our stay wonderful and fantastic. Overall, the premium hotel room was amazing!! Everything was super clean and the room service is fast and efficient.... The ocean view from our room was spectacular and it was a perfect for my partners birthday!
Small resort but worked for us.

Location: Far from the airport, took about an hour to get to the resort as there was traffic. Google says about 50min regularly. Despite being far from the airport it is nestled in a little bay which make...s the ocean swimmable and the small beach nice. Sunsets are amazing. Rooms: We came here specifically for the 2bed 2bath suite. However you do pay a premium for this type of room and premium status. The first suite they placed us in had some minor issues but they switched us promptly. We were in Tower 2 and the bedroom without the beach view’s window overlooks the busy road so when trucks go by it’s quite loud. We played white noise on our phone while we slept to mitigate this. They provided a baby crib for our 6 month old. Due to the small nature of this resort, everything is a short walk away. The room service was fast and decent. The balcony has limited privacy with your neighbours as you can see into the next doors room when standing on the balcony. The lock on the balcony doors are also not very secure. The wristband is your room key which is becoming more standard nowadays but is always a nice touch. Atmosphere: This resort is family friendly but the adult pool is just far enough away that you can feel somewhat secluded from the kids section. The pool games were fun to watch and participate in. The pool activity staff did a great job in engaging the guests. Value: We booked this resort in a package deal with flights so the overall value was quite affordable in our opinion. The resort is quite small so keep that in mind if you like a lot of variety. If you enjoy familiarity and short walks this resort is for you. We have a 6 month old and we didn’t need a stroller (even though we brought one). Service/Food: Overall the service was really good from most of the staff. With our premium package we had access to the premium lounge which is where the service really shined. Cesar in the premium lounge made amazing drinks and was very friendly with us every time we came in. We always made it a point to go see him for one last drink before we headed up to the room. Cesar always went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. He is a skilled bartender and would always surprise us with special drinks. This resort has 5 restaurants including the buffet. All of which were quite good (except we trusted fellow reviewers and did not try the Asian restaurant). Servers would always ask if we needed a highchair for our baby. The first time we received one it was dirty and still had food on it. So we never got one again and just held our baby while we ate. However, we did notice one time that a highchair came out to another table with the tray portion wrapped in plastic wrap as if it was sanitized so maybe our first experience was just a one off. Most of the restaurants went out of their way to cook something for our 6 month old! A majority of the time the buffet was really good! But the good stuff went fast. It seemed like they would try their best to keep the food stocked but there were definitely times where some of the favourites were out for a while even during prime hours. The ice cream machine was often out of the mix but just let the staff know and they fill it right away! In the Spanish restaurant we loved the live piano and appetizer bar in the middle. My wife really loved the meatballs and told me to let all of you know to try them. The sangria was good in this restaurant as well. Something that surprised us about the restaurants is that men are required to wear pants for dinner. We are used to collared shirt requirement but pants when it’s 35degrees out didn’t make a whole lot of sense to us. I understand not swim or sport shorts but I feel like dress/golf shorts should be fine. That being said the indoor restaurants are air conditioned so it wasn’t too bad. Beware of a grumpy towel guy. We also found it weird that they would strictly only refill the mini fridge in the room once a day even if requested for basics like bottle water. Notable mentions were Mariam at the Reception desk and Alan at the buffet. They were very nice with great attitudes. Cleanliness: Overall the resort seemed pretty clean. The maids worked hard and deserve recognition. Also there was always at least one common bathroom out of service as it was being cleaned. In the buffet there was always people walking around cleaning the common utensils and countertops. We did notice a lot of the overhead AC units dripping onto the tables and sometimes near the food though. We always noticed people mopping the hallways. Amenities: Since this resort is fairly small, there aren’t that much amenities. The pool is the place to be in the daytime, at night after the show people seemed to congregate at the small cantina bar. When there was a thunderstorm during the day people seemed to just go back to their rooms. There is a small games room but everything costs money to play. Besides the pool (or if you’re “premium” the premium lounge with Cesar) it didn’t really feel like there was a good place to just hangout. The gym is nothing fancy and a little outdated but has the essentials for a workout. The leather on some of the benches are ripped and some of the dumbbells are old.
Beautiful location, great rooms, amazing people!

Outstanding staff

We booked a last minute trip here and did not regret it! The staff work really hard and seem so happy and sincere in getting what you need The food at the restaurants was delicious and they were happy to... make accommodating meals for my 6 month old. High chairs also came out with the tray wrapped in plastic so I felt comfortable with the cleanliness. The highlight of our trip was Caesar in the premium lounge. During any downtime we went to visit him and he always made us laugh while making delicious drinks. I would recommend going premium just for the premium lounge and Caesar! The premium lounge also has some yummy snacks. Sunsets here are absolutely stunning
