its good place to stay but do not invite your family or friends to visit you in the resort. Day pass will cost you more than the cost of one days room. For example 3 adults and a 5 year for 4/5 hour visit $330US.
Great Place for a Great Price

The hotel is one of the best ones I have ever stayed in the past forty years in the Vallarta area. Amenities were great, options of food and entertainment, as well. The beach being really close to the rooms cannot be better. The service provided by two of the best servers we ever had at a resort (Marisol Cárdenas and Ramón Mireles), were outstanding. Unfortunately, other servers do not provide outstanding service as they do not even give the same service, as we are Mexican. At the the speciality restaurant Tokyo, John was great. But the grill master at the Teppanyaki, did not offered the same quality of service, as he did to another group with tourists from other countries, surprising them with tricks and camaraderie that was not offered to us. In general, the hotel is a solid A-, but has potential to be better than Vidanta even with less infrastructure. Overall, thanks to all staff that helped us had a great time.
