Been here for 3 days now as part of a 2 week stay. Lovely hotel; beach; pools and restaurants and staff. However, having already paid an inflated rate for Christmas and New Year, we are disappointed that we keep being asked for additional money for events which should be included in a 5 star all inclusive hotel. Last night, we visited one of the restaurants and asked for a table outside. We were told that we can only have one of these tables if we pay for a bottle of wine. Also, having been to the Caribbean at Christmas for the past several years, we have always experienced some sort of party celebration on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. This hotel keeps asking us for $135 pp to join a beach BBQ and entertainment on Christmas Eve. Surely this should be included? Upon arrival, we were asked if we wanted to upgrade to Enclave. They asked for $90 per night to allow us to dine in a few extra restaurants and have your own beach/ pool area. After refusing, they were then offering it to us for $45 a night, almost begging us. Honestly, and after speaking to other guests, it’s really not worth it. If you’re going to be a 5 star all inclusive resort, then be one! Don’t try and charge us for incidentals such as tables outside and beach parties on Christmas Eve ! What have we paid a premium rate for?

During our recent holiday, Olga at the adult enclave pool bar made our experience truly exceptional. Her margaritas are, without a doubt, the best we've ever had – perfectly balanced and incredibly refreshing. Every time we visited, Olga greeted us with a warm smile and a welcoming demeanor that made us feel right at home. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning views and well-maintained facilities that added to the overall enjoyment of our stay.

Last day at the adults only with 2 adult children so family of four. Cannot see how anyone can fault this resort. All staff friendly and helpful and even got a late check out for our two rooms for no extra charge. We were in Enclave which is worth every penny. One swim up and one partial sea view so could watch sunset. Incredible choice of restaurants so no need to do buffet - our favourite was Mare and big shout out to Hector who made us feel so welcome. Had relaxing massages at the spa which were out of this world. Son enjoyed hobie sailing and kayaking was great fun. Cocktails in enclave bar were awesome and maids in room were so lovely. Pools were fab as was beach but we loved the enclave pool which was calm and relaxing and the hydro pool was gorgeous. Food was so good everyday and we loved the way hygiene standards were so high. The whole resort has so much to offer and very smart and chic. All the staff deserve praise for the way nothing is too much trouble, from the pool towel guys to those serving drinks poolside. This resort deserves nothing but 5 stars and it is clear they work so hard here to make you feel welcome and relaxed. The beds were so comfortable and spacious. Cannot recommend this resort more and it certainly exceeded our expectations. Thank you to everyone who made this holiday worth every penny and very sorry to leave. Currently writing this

Biennenido was our waiter and he was amazing!! Very attentive and so polite. I recommend coming back 100%. We never had to wait on anything and rented cabanas for the beautiful views and to be able to relax comfortably was an added bonus. Love it here!!

Just returned from the Hilton at La Romana, (family) Punta Cana. It was a simple 50 mins transfer from the airport and arrived at 8.00pm, it was dark. Check-in at the Enclave reception was quick and provided a cocktail of our choice. We asked for a room with a sea view and for a small fee we could have one the following night, perfect. The first thing we noticed about the hotel, as we walked around in the light, was how stylish, well designed and extremely well maintained the whole place was. The gardens were immaculate, the slab walkways between the buildings were the smoothest I’ve ever seen and the light shades and décor everywhere shone of pure class. If you like style this is the place for you. The hotel has five buildings, split between family, adults only and a combo with Enclave. There are pools, beaches and sunbeds to match. Its about a 15 min walk from the family side to the Enclave (our fault we left it late booking). On the down side you had to get up early (7.30) to get a bed in the Enclave only area, but more beds appeared during the week. We tried most of the restaurants and all were good and service to match. Special mention to Lizzy Del Carpio, Brian and their manager in the Enclave restaurant near the beach (see previous review on how they expertly handled a particularly ignorant individual on rainy lunch time). There are two Enclave lounges with food and drink available, the adults side one is much bigger and comfortable. The sea was lovely and warm, very calm and no seaweed either. The beach is nice but not too long and only stretches on one side of the hotel. However, the pools were very cold and most too deep to do anything other than float around. The drinks service around the pools were excellent and regular. The hotel communal areas were nicely decorated for Christmas. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to families and adults only alike, they cater well for everyone. If you like that bit of exclusivity then the Enclave is a worthwhile addition. We may even return (in the Enclave adults only side this time), it needs to be good for us to do that.
