Pass on Bahia Principe Gran Punta Cana

For those considering booking Bahia Principe Gran Punta Cana, please read this first. Our family isn’t overly picky—we usually go with the flow—but this resort was disappointing in multiple ways. Pros: - ...Beautiful, well-maintained grounds - Spacious rooms - Convenient resort layout with trams available for those who need assistance Cons: - **Persistent sewage odor** throughout the resort, sometimes overwhelming—especially in the buffet area - **Lack of communication**—very few staff speak English or attempt to engage - **Poor customer service**—no urgency in addressing issues - **Disappointing buffet**—quality and variety are lacking, with some meals nearly inedible (though the omelet station in the morning was a bright spot) - **Limited dining options**—only three à la carte dinners allowed per stay, with no option to pay for additional restaurant meals, leaving four nights stuck with the buffet - **Unpleasant beach conditions**—large mounds of seaweed both on the shore and in the water, making swimming difficult - **Mosquito-infested rooms**—my daughter was constantly bitten; we had to buy bug spray and thoroughly treat her bed each night - **Cleanliness concerns**—plates, silverware, and glasses never felt properly sanitized - **Constant solicitation**—persistent sales pitches from locals on the beach and even within the hotel Overall, our experience was far from relaxing. While the resort has some positive aspects, the numerous issues significantly affected our stay. If you’re considering this destination, I recommend exploring other options.

The staff, the property, the service, the rooms are amazing. The beach is amazing, and the food was delicious! 5 star quality. Can not wait to plan my next trip to see my Grand Bahia Principe family! Do...n't wait.. book and have the best vacation ever :)
