I hate to give bad reviews but i want you to know something. The main buffet in bahia principe grand punta cana it stinks really bad that could make a person really sick. The rooms smell moldy and musky. Too many mosquitos is the room. The food in the italiano restaurant is delicious. The people that clean the rooms are lazy. The reception área the employee are doing there job.
Experience was 'OK'

We stayed in Esmeralda. Do NOT use the safe--my in-laws had money stolen from the safe. They're still conducting an 'investigation'. Property is gorgeous, you need transportation to get around but there were plenty of trolleys around. We were 'Privileged' so there was always one at the ready. Food was unremarkable--but they had the best french fries. We were supposed to get a discount for the $85 lobster dinner at the Fish House, but no one could figure out who was supposed to execute it--the Fish House or Customer Experience Desk. We didn't get the discount and the lobster was awful--too mushy. One other restaurant we went to touted lobster and porterhouse steak--on Wednesday they were out of both for the week. Privilege Lounge (Esmeralda) ran out of tonic water around dinnertime one evening--they suggested I check with another bar instead of trotting off themselves to see if another bar had some in storage somewhere. The spa is wonderful. I found the staff to be friendly and attentive for the most part, but I have no reason to return.
