This is a really great resort! Highly recommended the staff was amazing! Very clean, very friendly I felt at home even though we traveled for the Christmas holiday! We got the Fuego room and it was beautiful, clean, and right in the center of everything! We did the VIP experience and it was everything! The Aqua club is very nice, chill, and had the best drinks! Shout out to the entertainment staff I can’t remember all their names but they were alllll amazing and did exactly what their title are, Pure entertainment!! The shows were a lot of fun, live bands was really good. Luis: my fave he truly loved his job and made it so fun! Marieli: my dancing partner! She had the best personality! Priscilla: my vacation BFF; she made sure you had a great time with her beautiful smile, I’ll never forget it! Red: Aka sexy red! Very nice, he got you up and playing games! Loveeeeee his personality! Jillian: he was super funny and made it was very easy to have a good time! Pool servers; Jonny, Ruben, Miguel, Delvin. I never had an empty cup, they were very attentive. Mediterranean restaurant was the best food I had here! Francis and Danilo were the best! House cleaning; Elana she made the rooms perfect every single day, sweeties lady ever! Buffet chef; Raul sweeties guy ever always cooked my eggs to perfection! And of course our butler Alexander! He is the very best! Made us feel at home and not a tourist! Down to earth guy and made sure you have the best experience!

Another fantastic stay!

We have been to Live Aqua multiple times and it never seems to disappoint. The entertainment at this resort is great! They have a variety of activities offered during the day and excellent nightly entertainment. Breakfast buffet is excellent and the lunch and dinners are good. Our favourite was the sushi tuna rolls at the Japanese restaurant. For a Dominican all inclusive hotel, the sushi was great!! Pools are clean and beautiful and the beach is also great. The staff at this resort are all amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. If you’re looking for an adults only resort in the Dominican Republic, this is a great choice.

We were misled: Live Aqua is NOT a Luxury Resort

We stayed at Live Aqua Punta Cana Monday, December 16- Friday, December 20, 2024. The in country trip started with transport to the resort courtesy of Tropical Incentives. We were the only people in the minivan and the driver drove as if we were not in the van. He was riding the shoulder, honking other drivers, passing other driving’s at excessive speeds and at one point I told the driver, “you’re trying to give me a heart attack.” Little did I know the drive to the resort was just the beginning of a dissatisfied week. When we arrived, I was expecting luxury service, but there was none to be found. Now I know this is not earth shattering, but for 4 days at a cost of $2,800, we were hoping to bask in some luxury, instead we got basic and in some cases less than basic. As a comparison, I stayed at LeBlanc Resort in Cabo San Lucas February 2021 and they treated us so wonderfully. For now the service we received at LeBlanc is the standard we compare other resorts to. Back to Live Aqua, the checkin was basic, no one showed us around the resort, but they did take us to our room where the disappointment began in earnest. It started with the worse mildew smell, so bad that we couldn’t stay in the room. Before they moved us, we noticed the dirty, wrinkled, uneven curtains. In addition, there were the stained sofa covers, and finger prints all over the glass doors and above the doors. Room number two had the same issues with the stained sofa covers but we didn’t stay in that room because the ceiling fan looked as if it was going to fall from the ceiling. So as a safety measure they moved us again to the third room. The third room, curtains were fine, but the mildew smell persisted so we asked for air freshener. This room had rust issues, and just looked worse for wear. I say this because the resort opened in 2021 but it looked like it had been around for much longer. I can only surmise that they are not keeping up with the necessary maintenance. Room service. We had to order the same food 3 times because they kept sending us cold food. We ordered a burger and fries. I pleaded with them to bring us hot food. By the third try, we ordered pizza which was the only thing that arrived hot, so, if you must order room service, which we don’t recommend, but if you must, only order pizza. The onsite restaurants were ok. There are a few restaurants we recommend you would avoid: Liberi, the breakfast restaurant. Not only was the food bad, it was cold. Made you not want to go for breakfast. The service in Liberi was a 2 out of 5. Also avoid MiraFlores, it felt like they just put food on a plate. The service was a 3 out of 5. This is one of 2 restaurants available for food between breakfast and lunch. Lastly, I would not eat at Seishin, the Asian Restaurant. Another dining spot where they did the bare minimum. The Spa, was nice and so was the service. The pools were nice and the beach area was ok. Overall, taking into account the service, the food and the appearance of the resort , there was just nothing luxurious about the place. If you are looking for luxury this is not the place. When I say luxury, the staff know your name, there’s turn down service, there’s a level of cleanliness and attention to detail, in room amenities, luxury bedding. None of that is available or apparent at this resort. Another issue, the room had a dumb waiter. The room service attendant told us to put our dirty dishes there, and it took them over a day to pick them up. One of the closets and dumb waiter occupied the same space so when you opened the closet you smelled the old food. Lastly, was the issue with the flies in the lower sitting area. If you had a drink or food you were swarmed with flies. Just surprised they had not found a way to tackle the flies.

Amazing amazing

There are so many parts of this resort that make it such an amazing place to spend any vacation, but among the top are how kind, fun, and helpful all the staff are. This is truly what takes a 4 star resort to 5. Special shoutout to Luis, Red, Priscilla, and Marielli who truly go above and beyond to make everyone have the best time!

Horrible don’t do it

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Food disgusting to the point where I am worried about getting sick. Stale…old…foul tasting. Service was terrible. We paid over $5,500 plus to be here for a few nights as a splurge for our yearly trip and we got a room with a butler and room service 24hrs…..we couldn’t even get them to bring us grapefruit juice or more Coke Zero to the room…..most sinple request were met with No. there is so much confusion about how the hotel works and an apparent language barrier where the staff seem to not know what we are asking them for or about…just one of the worst experiences and I am so sad and disappointed about this experience as my husband and I work extremely stressful jobs and this was a very much needed trip away so more reasons than I will put in this comment. Just don’t come here. Save your money and go somewhere else please.
