Great for families with little ones!

Candice C on Apr 05, 2025

We had a fantastic first family trip with two littles ones (2.5 year old and 1.5 year old). We travelled here with two other couples, also with young children aged 4 and under. I’ve never been to a resor...t with so many babies and toddlers. It was so nice to be in an environment with other young families. If you are travelling with teens or a group of adults, I don’t recommend this resort. Room - we booked the junior suite nature view and upgraded upon arrival to the Family Concierge Master Suite. The upgraded room was definitely worth it!!! We went from a basic hotel room to an apartment. The master suite was huge and provided plenty of space for us to enjoy when our kids were napping. Family Concierge - happy to have had it but do think it’s overpriced. We ended up needing formula and medication and they were very helpful getting this for us. However the response time was not great at the beginning. As for the exclusive pool and lunch box restaurant, we didn’t end up using it more than one time. The pool was boring and busy, our kids preferred the pirate ship pool. Lunch box wasn’t that different from the regular buffet. As for reservations I believe this is the main reason people get it so they have priority. Our friends got reservations for all 5 restaurants for our entire group of 10 so the concierge did come handy for that. Restaurants - all of them were great. Blue Agave was our favourite. Buffet was good/average. Baña had some of our stomachs turn unfortunately (we think it was the shrimp), but the food did taste excellent. Pools - pirate ship pool was our toddlers favourite. The water could be cleaner, however given the amount of young children in this pool it’s expected. Beach - Beach is beautiful with white sand. I don’t recommend visiting march/April as seaweed is terrible. I’ve visited this part of Mexico in the past in January and the waters were clear. Entertainment/Activities - so much to do and see for the whole family. Lots of different things going on each day for kids and different entertainment every night. Overall the resort is beautiful, staff were friendly, and we had a very enjoyable stay.

Great for families

Mike O on Apr 05, 2025

Stayed in a swim out suite with the family concierge. Emmanuel was very responsive and sent us the daily schedule of activities every day. Plus he surprised our kids with goodies a few times throughout ou...r stay. This is the first true resort our kids have been to so I don't know how it is elsewhere, but I struggle to imagine it being much better for kids. We had a great time in all the pools, including the adult side because our kids (3 and 7) kept begging to go to Kidsdom. We mostly sent them in the morning because spots are limited and it fills up in the afternoon and especially the evening. We thought the food was all good though a bit slow, just need to remind yourself you're on beach time. We made dinner reservations earlier and forgot about our local time change, leading us to make reservations later than we wanted. So our kids were pretty sleepy at dinner and we missed most of the shows, so we can't comment on those. Our biggest complaint was out of their control: the beach was a bit too windy and the sargassum was extreme.

Buffet only and no ADA Access

Came as a disabled person with limited mobility and using a wheelchair. We got to the resort at 8:30 PM and went and grabbed some dinner and went down at 8 AM the next day to schedule restaurant reservatio...ns and there were none available other than 9:30 PM! We were prepared for it, but very disappointing nonetheless. The odd thing is you can walk past any of the restaurants and there are always open tables, but you still can’t just walk in and get a table. This is a self imposed problem that they have created. This cause it could easily be solved by appropriate staffing at the correct times. I also have limited mobility, and this resort was recommended based on how easy it was to get around in a wheelchair. I was very pleased with that as I was able to go as far as the beach, but they need to have accessibility on the beach for wheelchairs. My biggest complaint Is there are also no handrails anywhere, even on the ramps. Out of all the pools, I was only able to find one with a handrail!! This is simply unacceptable regardless of being handicapped or not every pool needs to have a handrail as a safety precaution.

Good but not great

Navigator19259236999 on Apr 01, 2025

Good food. Service not good if you give no tip. Difficult to have chairs on the beach. Impossible to have chairs or better near the pool. People wake up at 6-7am and put towels on them. They come to the po...ol much later on. Impossible to try the restaurants. The after checking in, i went to book them. I only had 2 choices at the end of the week Also lots of rooms are oriented inside swimming pool area and there are shows/wedding there until 10pm. I have young kids which go to bed at 8pm. At check in, i have not been informed of the ameneties and the possibilities on the resort
